searching Warm Wishes at Hearthmoon Village! (SoL/Romance)

On the outside, it's not a comfy town, especially if you ignore the great crescent moon-shaped hearth at its heart.  It's in a rather backwater part of Equestria, for one thing, even though it's only a boat-ride away from the city of Vanhoover.  It's also cool all year-round and this season is when the temperature is approaching its lowest.  This means cold days, even colder nights, and common blizzards on top of it all.  

 

Plus, only brave ones and foolish ones dare to take a dip in the bay during this cold time of the year.

 

But it's not a joyless place, especially for the folks who had lived there their whole lives.  It's a crossroad town for those coming from the western part of the world, so it's not rare for strange faces to show up.  The moon hearth unites the villagers who go there after a rough day to warm their hooves and their spirits.  The frost berries that flourish there make a unique jam that isn't found anywhere else.  And the bay and the snowy forests and mountains under a starry sky are breathtaking sights.

 

If you enjoy mostly quiet places littered with places for contemplation, then Hearthmoon Village may be just the place to visit.

 

Thieves and ne'er-do-wells beware, though, for the staves in the hooves of those of martial prowess are not for show.

This is my very first RP.  I wanted to try my hand at being a GM while also trying out a little bit of world-building.  Well, I say that, but I'm just trying to imagine what the village north of Luna Bay just might be.

2)  Please keep everything PG-13.  

3)  Be respectful and reasonable.

4)  Any race in the TV show can join.

5)  Last but not least, please be active.  I understand if real life gets in the way, but please let me know first before you go silent.  If you don't post in the RP for five days without prior notification, you're out the RP.

It's a sign that I fail at puns.  Not only is papyrus a font and the name of a goofy skeleton I'm sure we both know and love, it's also a kind of paper made from a certain plant by the same name.
