How did you find MLP Forums?: Through stumbling on it and lurking for many months

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Someone gave my daughter a Rainbow Dash doll. So, we figured that we'd show her an episode of the show to see if she liked it...she did...wife did...and I did. Even though only a few months before, I thought that the whole brony concept sounded weird, and guys posting girl ponies as their online avatar.Anyway, after a couple of weeks of watching it, loving it, then catching myself watch it even when daughter was at school, much like when Dashie thought herself to be an egghead after falling in love with Daring Do, I had an "oh crap. I'm a Brony" moment.

So, I'm almost 40 posts in and just dived in, because I do not like introductions.

 

I'm in my early 30s, married, with one daughter. Live in Brooklyn. I used to teach, and I also do acting (stage and getting into voice). I've been a stay-at-home dad and house husband for a few years.  I also write, buy and sell random crap I find, have a parenting blog that I haven't updated in a couple months, do home repair, and cook on a nearly daily basis. Jack of all trades, master of none. Even though I have a Master of Education degree.

 

Even though I watch a lot of children and family programming, MLP is by far my favorite. It ranks up there with my favorite shows of all time...and currently is #1.

 

Anyway, I've really liked this community and have enjoyed getting into conversations, which even online I have a hard time doing, as I'm extremely shy and introverted.

 

So that's all I can think of for now. Thanks guys, and rock rock on.

ahh a teacher. finding a teaching job as a younger person now in days is realy hard. both my sisters are teachers and are barrily hanging on to theirs. hope you have better luck ^^

Hah, and both with Rarity avatars no less. Small world. I went that park for the first time last year - that's the one near the Verazanno bridge right? We have some relatives in Jersey, so we go over that bridge all the time. I'm over by the BK Queens border, near Forest Park.
