web The Fine Brothers are trying to copyright reaction videos

Those subscriber counts seem to be slowing down alot now, S***storms like this on the internet don't last very long I would give it another week before people forget this all together, last week it was Keemstar, this week Finebros and next week probably someone else who knows Pewdiepie might try to license gaming videos x)

Possibly, this is why this issue is much much bigger than the Fine Brothers as was pointed out they could very well have successfully licensed react videos and may have been able to do so if they kept their mouths shut a bit longer and maybe talked to a lawyer before publicly revealing their plans but the scary thing is someone just as crooked as them could be watching this unfold right now and could be thinking about how they could try to do the same thing without as much of a backlash. The fact that this is even possible in the first place shows how corrupt and broken the copyright and patent system is.

You kinda know they are jerks when they subject the elderly and little kids to some questionable videos like Dont Hug Me I'm Scared, or is that just me?

At least they are not as stubborn and stupid as I thought they would be, nobody will trust them ever again and it is their fault entirely. Everybody knows they are only sorry because it blew up in their faces. Even though they came to their senses this issue is far from over as it is part of disturbing long term trend of nearly anything and everything being able to be copyrighted/patented and with well connected individuals and corporations being able to screw a lot of people over by making filing the right papers at the right times. There will be other cases similar to this in the future, Donald Trump tried to patent the phrase "you're fired" a few years back and Sony tried to do the same with "lets plays" and while neither were successful with how broken the copyright and patent system is it is only a matter of time before someone succeeds where they failed.

Sorta like how the happy birthday song is patented, at least for corporations to use.

They are still siphoning money off of smaller channels, don't let their "apology" fool you. They just want it all to die down so they can prosecute behind the scenes like they did before react world.

Here's a little video for people who haven't heard of or known about the "React World Controversy/Backlash".

In my opinion, all the Fine Bros are doing is beating a dead horse.

Their react videos are tiring, old, unfunny trash that has been milked to death for the past 5 years.

What they did, basically, is that they actually tried copyrighting the term "react", which means, if the copyright took affect and they hadn't "apologized" like they did, then people who put "react" in the title of their videos could also get sued or copyright striked. (While they did make an apology, they did a horrible job at that. It was barely an apology at all, just a flimsy excuse for the crappy things they've done.)

I find it to be pretty messed up that The Fine Bros are doing this. #UnSubFineBros
