What's the first feature you notice on people?

Their smile; if one smiles a lot I can tell they can be pretty kind-hearted (well maybe not, I guess it depends on what kind of smile). If not I guess they’re just “cool” or calm  .

I usually note how they react to me or others. If they have a defensive or indifferent way about them I know a lot about their personality. If they're open and smile a lot I know they're accessible and friendly. So I guess I read emotions more than anything particularly physical.

Their face.

A pretty and sleek face is everything.

Their expression, honestly. :pout: While I'm not a mind reader, you can usually tell who's miserable and who's feeling well by their expressions.

I have been told my smile and my eyes. I have very bright green Harry Potter eyes. XD And the majority of the time, if I'm not looking "stoic" as some people say, I'm smiling.

Eyes. Eyes and hair. I don't why but those two things are always the first things I seem to notice on someone, especially guys. Not that I'm constantly gawking at people.

For me it's the eyes. Green being my ultimate weakness.

How about everypony else?

How flattering. :please: My eyes are naturally a bright green color.

What do you drive is my first question. I don't remember faces, names, or even voices, but I remember what you drive.:P

Most of the time, the first thing I notice is the way the carry themselves.

If they slouch or just simply don't have good posture, I usually assume they're carefree and are the type to joke around. For the most part, I'm usually right about it. There are a few exceptions, such as myself, but that's just me. :please:

The color and look of their hair. I'm not good with faces so if a person has a distinct hairstyle it's very helpful for me to recognize them later :)

As expected lots of people say eyes. I don't think I've ever taken note of a person's eye color - maybe I'm not observant or just don't like looking people in the eye hehe

I have this issue, so-to-speak, where I don't typically look at people. I try to avoid eye contact. If anyone looks at me in the eyes, I have a sort of mental breakdown. I'd let a boyfriend/girlfriend/etc. look me in the eyes, because that's all romantic and stuffs ¦D But nobody else!

So, I tend to notice the voice or personality first. Then if I'm comfortable with them, I may look them in the eye.

Kinda sound like a dog...

  • 1 year later...

I generally notice their face... Aside from their eyes. I can't look directly into somebody's eyes without feeling like my eyes have been set on fire, and even enough indirect eye contact can trigger an episode of panic and pain for me. :(That being said, I do occasionally look into my boyfriend's eyes and this doesn't happen most of the time then...

Heck, I never knew my dad's eyes were blue until I was like 15 or 16 and I accidentally looked at him in such a way I could see it.

Expression is always the first thing I notice. If someone has their hair styled or done up, that's the second thing I notice. And yet, I am face blind and have trouble recognising even celebrities. Go figure.

Mostly what kind of person they are. As soon as someone opens their mouth I get a pretty good grasp of if they're a good person to be around or not.

Physically though, it's probably height or weight. I tend to not look people in the face unless they're talking to me, so their body is normally the first thing I see.
