Brony Lounge 102 April 16, 2016 Share April 16, 2016 Ive said this in another post but I will say it again, I think they will turn up the stakes to keep viewers hooked for a full movie, and besides you can easily have a dark side without being dark
Varrack 1,080 April 16, 2016 Share April 16, 2016 I think at most a character might reach near death. Or perhaps a good character turning evil for whatever reason, like in EQG3. I mean, we've already had utter chaos (S2 premiere), near destruction of Equestria (S4 finale), and time traveling (S5 finale). The will definitely contain something as dark as the above or darker. Brony Mata 134 April 24, 2016 Share April 24, 2016 My Little Pony The Movie Rated R "says rated R" "Takes children to it" "Sues when they hear profanity and sexual themes" (deadpool reference) I believe S5's beginning was quite a bit darker than S4's end. While Tirek was quite the evil beast, he was outright upfront from the beginning. Starlight on the other hand... She was manipulative. Corruptive. It would appear she lured them into a false pretense and kept them all under a tight leash while secretly disguising everything as being all happy and wonderful. She actually had them forcibly behave in a way she wanted, that was far more sinister than what Tirek had. So are y'all saying that they can't kill of characters because it's a kid's show but they can temporarily kill of characters if it's in an alternate reality and they bring them back? I think an actual death is warranted. They've inched closer and closer to it with each season, and a big event like this is time. I wouldn't be mad at all if it was a tearjerker. Sonic5421 425 April 25, 2016 Share April 25, 2016 I hope so and think it will be. That being said, I don't want any mane 6 casualties. Same here, and that goes double for the likes of Celestia and Luna as well, if they appear in the movie at all, since we still don't have much information on the movie to go on yet. I don't think that'll happen, but it wouldn't be the first time an animated show made on-screen deaths, temporal or permanent I'm with you on that. No deaths, period. The Brony Community would not be able to take the heartbreak if one of the characters we loved, main, secondary, or background, met an unfortunate end in the movie and was not given a second lease on life before the movie was over. After the backlash the death of Optimus Prime got? I don't think we have anything to worry about. Amen to that, my friend. Amen to that.

To be honest, while I know alot of people would dislike it, I'd be perfectly fine with luna and celestia passing on in order to pass the torch as it were, SO LONG as it was the finale to the series. And i wouldn't want it to be just a random "oh, we killed this character to be edgy" kind of thing, I'd rather it occur in more of a "they make a sacrifice that causes them to expend their life force and fade away" kind of thing. Red Cedar 1,408 June 24, 2016 Share June 24, 2016 Bet on it. Hasbro has a history of making its movies darker stretching all the way back to the Gen 1 Transformers movie in 1985. The question is not "Will it be darker?" but "How much darker will it be?" Roleplaying OC: Red Cedar - Cast Character: Applejack

You left out them intenionally putting in "shit" for the SAKE Of putting "Shit" in the movie just to make sure parents had to accompany kids to see the movie XD Sneaky way to try and boost ticket sales. >Moon explosion doesn't hurt unicron >Galvatron is later thrown THROUGH the side of unicron without a scratch >Ergo, galvatron is denser than dark matter

If they do kill off Celestia and Luna( like Optimus and Ultra Magnus died) I can imagine soccer mom's and social media going off the wall. It isn't the 80s and 90s anymore... Everyone plays it safe. Could you imagine having Hasbro, using characters like Chrysalis and Tirek killing Celestia? I don't see it happening. I expect the movie to be dark, but no one is dying. Unlikeable Pony 2,698 July 14, 2016 Share July 14, 2016 How could she die without it being to traumatic for younger girls and boys? Look at how Oogway "died". You can have someone Die without them falling on the ground and choking to death or bleeding out. Obi wan died in a way that wasn't traumatic and so did oogway. You have them die in a mystical manner that has them either fade away or the body dissapears, or conversely you have them simply exaust their life force and more or less "go to sleep"

Maybe the movie would be about Twilight maturing. That's if bronies think Twilight is capable of ruling Equestria.. If Celestia and Luna were dead. Who would control the sun and moon?
