So for those who don't know, Stardew Valley is a game on Steam that resembles Harvest Moon, only better. You can fish, plant crops and trees, take care of animals, get to know the townsfolk, rebuild the community center, and so much more. I bought the game yesterday, and I'm completely addicted. Anyone else gotten it yet?

Never heard of it till now. Just watched the trailer for the game on steam and it looks cool . Not sure if I'll like it or not since it's a farming game and I never have liked farming IRL.

It actually plays quite a bit like Terreria, except you have a home base where you can never be attacked, and you can choose if and when to fight. Also, you have people with whom you can interact

* i bought this game like some time last week? i absolutely love it. even more so that people have made mods to throw in undertale-related things in there. undertale music playing, turning my cat into sans.. <3

 

* i'm actually not very good at games like this, but i guess with all the extra combat features and stuff like that, i can enjoy all aspects of it. i've never played harvest moon in my life, i've only ever played animal crossing and the game does have that animal crossing feel to it.

 

* overall yeah, a very pleasant game. wouldn't have bothered to get it if i didn't ask my brother his opinion of it, since he's one hell of a critic for games, so if he says something's pretty good, it's worth getting.

Game has gotten some updates. Spouses are less bland after marriage. Yay! Apparently the developer is working on end game content, which is awesome. I've completed the Community Center, so working on achievements now. I don't feel like I paid enough for this game, since I've got over 100 hours in it, and only paid 15 dollars for it.

This is a game that I sooo hope comes to consoles eventually. ProJared did an extensive video on it and he seems to love it. It definitely seems like a game I could get into and love.

I have had the game sitting in my library, staring at me for months now. I wanna make a video series on it, once I have a good computer, but I kinda just wanna play it now...

 

But I have patience, and I have Borderlands 2, so I can endure the lure. (See what I did there? Endure the lure? I'm proud.)

Yes, I've bought the game and tried playing it for a few hours.

 

Let's just say that if I wanted to pay 15 dollars to sleep, I would rather rent a Napmaster-9000.

playing it right now! Harvest moon (the GBA version) had much better controls in my opinion. 

 

So far it's acceptable but  it feels a bit slow.and the controls are kind of wonky.

 

I only just started, so hopefully it'll change overtime.

Being a Harvest Moon fan, I can say this game does a great job capturing the Harvest Moon gameplay and atmosphere. I haven't played much of it but will soon now that Summer is only around the corner. I'm also looking forward to multiplayer! Maybe we can play sometime. x3

This is a pretty small thread, especially since Stardew Valley was really popular upon release. I'm surprised the community isn't too interested.

 

Either way, it's an awesome game. I managed to get Sebby to marry me in the first year on Fall 28th. He's wonderful.

I love Stardew Valley! A YouTuber called Paulsoaresjr got me into it. Since I have always been a big fan of Harvest Moon, I fell in love with this game right away.

You know, I'm really disappointed that no major YouTubers have taken time to actually play the game and show people what it has to offer. Most of them just run through their first day and then give up.
