Time for some nostalgia.

DISNEY. Is famous for killing off their villains with falls, or other rather disturbing, creepy or gruesome ends. Ursula got speared through her midsection by a sharpened boat's bow, Scar got torn to shreds by his own Hyena's, Claude Frollo fell into a pit of lava, etc etc.

Stumbling on some Youtube videos listing people's personal top ten or fifteen, I went on a nostalgia trip about the topic, and came up with my personal favorite. Try and think of your favorites and post them here! You should post a link to the death on Youtube, or if you're too lazy, write a summary of what the death is.

1: Dr. Facilier, from The Princess and the Frog

I haven't watched this one yet all the way through, but I have watched some of the music clips, and this death, and I must say I love it. Dr. Facilier is a Voodoo Doctor who derives his powers from his 'Friends from the Other Side', via a Voodoo Pendant. He apparently has owed them a dept for a while, and throughout the movie, is trying to collect the souls from the people of New Orleans to try and pay it back. At the very end, it get's smashed, resulting in his 'friends' dragging him off to Voodoo Hell, to appease the debt. And by the way, the beat/song that is playing throughout his death scene is HIS personal villain song from earlier in the movie, so it's turned on him now and it adds to the awesomeness.

I'd say my other top fave is Frollo's from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I loved seeing Scar die. Mostly the sick image in my head of him getting torn to death :)

Ok that was kinda f***ed up...

Clayton's death was pretty brutal. Like, shit....I couldn't believe they'd actually show the silhouette of his body hanging there.

Also, the OG Disney villian death

The Queen scared me so much when I was young.

This for me was the most memorable death for me, as it is what influenced my love for dragons: the best fantasy creature EVER! (In my opinion ;) ).

Maleficent was quite the bad-ass I must say. She's one of the top most powerful ones with just her own power, IMO.

You know it wasn't the main villain but the Mechanical Shark from James and the Giant Peach gave me the shivers when I was little. Ooooh god those rows of whirring blades of steel in it's gaping mouth. It's death was particularly bad-ass, with it's own cord wrapping around it's fin, causing the teeth to break off, cut inside it's own mouth, and eventually cause enough damage to blow it up. Can't find a scene of it, but that was awesome.

Yep, I'd have to say I go with Clayton's death.

If Pixar counts as Disney, I'd say second place goes to Syndrome's death from The Incredibles. Nothing quite like getting pulped by a jet engine, amirite?

Syndrome didn't listen to Edna.

Nobody meantioned Shan-Yu?

I think i will put Shan-Yu and Claude Frollo as the best villans. Aswell as their deaths.

Frollo: "And he shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the fiery pit!" Love that line before he dies.

Shan-Yu: First being outsmarted by a woman in a melee fight, and then sent of with a rocket to end him, pretty badass if you ask me.

Claytons death was pretty neat aswell.

Scar's death. But that's because of The Lion King being the first "main series" Disney movie I remember seeing, naturally it was the one that sticks out to me the most. That and as soon as Mufasa died I spent most of the rest of the movie thinking of good (horrible) ways for Scar to die. But then they had the somewhat ironic twist of him not actually being killed by Simba but the hyenas that he had taken advantage of that did. Which I thought was pretty funny, actually. Which also kind of made me less pissed about it being a big, fat, rip off of Kimba.

And about that death from The Princess and the Frog-You know, I may actually watch that movie now. Although that doesn't make me any less angry that Disney is really, REALLY pushing it with the milking of fairy tales and mythology. Seriously, what's next, a G-rated Edgar Allan Poe movie where he befriends a raven who likes to say "nevermore" at certain times (like wynaut, from the pokemon anime) and they go on adventures in 19th century US saving people from evil using the power of poetry and short stories???

Well this thread is about villain deaths, not just villains themselves ^^ That is probably why.

But yeah he was awesome~

Yeah I get your point, but that movie is really good from the looks and I've only heard praise about it. I don't care if they milk mythology, as long as they do a good job XD

For me it's gotta be Clayton from Tarzan... it's pretty... um disturbing when it shows just the shadow of him hanging (Still is for me), but he had it coming.

Yeah, I rewatched Tarzan rather recently, and while before I had totally forgotten that scene for some reason, it now is forever ingrained into my mind... Seriously though, so great. :)

The Horned King from The Black Cauldron, honestly such an underrated movie that is often forgotten.

That used to be one of the regular Disney movies I watched when younger, though I haven't seen it in a long time. Should change that.
