A Tribute To The Incomparable Lady Rarity

 

Dash-head that I am, I nonetheless feel compelled to honor Rarity for a while. While she is probably the best dressmaker in Equestria, she also has remarkable magical ability, impeccable poise and is, overall, pretty awesome.

 

And so I hearken to her magnificent performance in Suited for Success, a standout episode from the first season graced with a delightful and endearing musical sequence, and showing off her incredible powers of levitation and illusion.

 

Lady Rarity, this avatar and signature are humbly dedicated to you.

Edit: ...aaand then the OCD kicked in and I decided I like this avvie better, because it features her tiara and dress, has more attitude, and still highlights her cool way of making her horn shine radiantly (I love it when she does that):

 

 

 

...and then I changed the last frame of the siggie, because the first go was actually a shot from The Best Night Ever, and it doesn't look as dazzling in miniature as it does in the the context of the episode itself. So back I went to Suited for Success for a screenshot that is a bit redundant with the avatar, but still depicts Rarity's moment of triumph (though throwing off the color balance of the sig somewhat):

 

 

I think that should do -- until the OCD kicks in again.

(Yeah, I guess a thread like this isn't exactly 100-character-minimum friendly, but it does give us an excuse to wax poetic about our fabulous signatures, so let's have fun with it!)

NOTE: Zecora and Fluttershy are techno915 unless specified otherwise. Doctor Whooves is TARDIS915. (this is for those of you whom I may ask to make sigs for specific ponies. You might think that this is confusing and you're probably good to think that, but I like to change things up a bit every so often. It's just how I roll.)

For reference, I tossed it together with a nice free program called Photoscape. Simpler than Photoshop, for better and for worse, but super handy for stuff like this. Easiest title lettering I've done in ages.

 

Oo, forgot, I have variants:

This is my new gif sig I just made using GIMP. I'm probably going to edit it later by adding more clouds or rearranging them to be infront of Kystal or behind.

I really just put random stuff here so that I can have it in my My Media and then post it in PM

Taste The Rainbow!

 

With MLP Forums wisely featuring Rainbow Dash (who is Best Pony) in the banner these days, it's time for me to follow suit and likewise feature Equestria's Best Pony (who is Rainbow Dash) in my avvie/siggie combo.

 

And what better way than to commemorate Rainbow's* heroic awesomeness in The Mysterious Mare Do Well? Nothing I can think of, so here goes...

 

 

 

* Who is Best Pony, by the way. Did I mention she's Best Pony?

 

UPDATE: Never content to leave well enough alone, I decided to switch my avvie to something less common than Rainbow's "face that launched a thousand ships" blush shot. But I think it still captures her unique spirit.

In honor of Pinkie's appearance in the MLP Forums anniversary banner, I can't resist a little Pinkie mojo for my theme. Thus do I roll with these selected scenes from her excellent performance in A Friend in Deed...

 

 

 

UPDATE: And as usual, ADHD, OCD, or some strange combination thereof strikes again. I decided I want Pinkie's friends in the signature, because Pinkie isn't the same without them...

 

 

With such small images, a lot of detail is lost, but I really love how Pinkie's friends quietly carry her in a little procession as she sings.

 

Friendship truly is Magic.

Strange, I could have sworn I posted about this earlier in the thread, but I can't find it. Could this thread be... HAUNTED?!?

 

Whatever the case, I may not be able to insert a full-blown tutorial here, but here's a quick way (if not the only way) to get a picture in your sig.

 

1. Post your image to this thread. To do so, start a post and hit the "Upload Files + More Reply Options" button.

 

2. Toward the bottom of the reply page, you can Attach Files. Browse for the picture you want, then press the "Attach This File" button.

 

3. Once the file is attached, you will see it in a little bar beneath the edit window. Click on "Add to Post" and it will insert a link to it in your post.

 

4. Add whatever text you want to the post, then hit "Add Reply". This will save the image in your media library and make it available to include in your signature.

 

5. Go to the Signature Settings page. Here you can insert images by clicking on "My Media" in the tool bar, which will bring up your media library.

 

6. Select the image you want, and it will be inserted in your signature. Add whatever else you would like to see in your signature, hit "Save Changes" and you're good to go!

 

Meanwhile, speaking of signatures...
