What are the chances the last episode will involve a "X years later" scenario?

In the last episode of whatever will be the last season, what do you think the chances are of it involving a time-leap many years later showing the Mane 7 older doing whatever they are doing, the CMC as adults, as well as some other characters?

I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to do something like that. Many cartoons that come to a final ending often rely on that trope and seeing MLP do it would mean the writers chose to follow along. It would need to be fleshed out by explaining how certain things turned out without just showing them.

Eh, that concept is a tad overdone in my opinion but we'll see. With a few exceptions, (COTLM for example) MLP tends to stay away from cliches like that.

That would make a lot of sense. I don't see them going that route, but if they did, having them get together a lot older than they are now and treating all the previous seasons as one giant flashback would be kind of interesting. Like them gathering around the journals and scrolls and to look over all they have done and experienced one last time or something. Of course that would be a finale for most of everyone's favorite characters so it would be pretty depressing as well.

Probably pretty low, unfortunately, because this is something that I'd really love to see.  In the future, I'd like to see Twilight as ruler of Equestria, Rainbow as captain of the Wonderbolts, Pinkie as the owner of Sugarcube Corner, Rarity as head judge of Manehattan Fashion Week, the CMC owning their own personal counseling practice in Ponyville, and Diamond Tiara as mayor of Ponyville.  As for Fluttershy and AJ, I can't really think of where else they'd be, because they're both very content as is, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I can't imagine they could do a time leap to answer some questions without even more questions arising. If we're asking "What happened after everything was said and done?" [on the present] we could answer some questions with a time leap, but then where do we go from there? I think it'd be a difficult thing to get right.

I'd have to agree with some previous replies. It would probably be better as a pilot to a 4.5 rather then an ending to 4.0
