Are changelings and breezies related?

Changelings and breezies. They're both pony-like and insect-like. They could very well be related. *spoiler* It is revealed that changelings can become colourful, if they share love, at the end of To Where And Back Again.

Nice, but flutterponies, presumably, would have been mammals. Changelings are (four-legged) insects and hatch from eggs.

I don't see enough of a connection between the two species to see them being related.

In terms of appearance they look drastically different, and not to mention the drastic size different as well. I think they are two completely different species.

Plus the changedlings aren't ponies -- they look more like deer.
