It's a cute little kids show man, there are no genitals because that's what it is. Innocent. It's just not right to sexualise it :c

We are born with genitals yes but my little ponies aren't. are you sick minded enough to support people who draw and look at that stuff to have make believe sex with cartoon horses? It's just not right man ;-; it's my opinion and I know, you have yours and others have theirs..

i just respect genuine cute innocent ponies and the people who work their asses off to deliver them but can't bring myself to like those who disrespect the original intention of the show staff :c a masterpiece ruined in my eyes.

As a Christian, I can understand why it is wrong, but I accept that everyone has the right to choose what to do.

I also understand that my worldview is not everyone's, and different people have different concepts of right and wrong.

 

Therefore, I am completely cool with it. I looooove saucy/sexy pones, but R34 crosses the line for me, personally. However, R34 with ponies seems better than R34 with humans. Something about the ponies' cartoony, innocent nature makes it seem better. Anything with humans of that innapropriate nature grosses me out like no other. But then again, I find ponies a million times more physically attractive than humans. xD

I can see your holding strong to your believes DX but for the love of god man just read what I have to say and consider it.

The show isn't sexual, babies are made behind the scenes, the buts and allround nudity has no emissions placed on it. There is no sexually suggestive material in the show itself apart from some cute flirting and the fact there are children in it.

I don't want to get into a lengthy argument because seeing that people support it so much makes me feel sick in the stomach :c

I'm not sure what that even means. xD  Plenty of shows aren't especially or overtly "sexual" in nature, but the occurrence and necessity of sex is still presumable.  Attraction and attractiveness =/= BAD.

The show and rule 34 are 2 separate things. The show staff will probably never see r34 in their whole lives unless they blatantly search it up.

There was a big thing a while ago called safe search wrap up, where dozen of bronies worked to remove r34 content from showing up when using google safe search.

No, I don't think it's wrong. Everyone has their own fetishes and oddities, if it's not ponies it's probably something else. The ponies in the show are sapient and not the same as normal animals. I see a lot of "But the show is supposed to be innocent! This is dirty" here. First of all, the show is still "Innocent", the Rule 34 doesn't affect the show at all, and I imagine even most bronies who do like Rule 34 wouldn't want it in the show.

 

 Second of all, what's wrong with sex? Is there something inherently wrong with it? We're all born with genitals, most people on the planet do it at some point in time. Sure, it's good to be responsible and take precautions so you don't get an STD, or get pregnant when you don't want to, but it itself isn't wrong. Is the image of two ponies who love and care for each other wanting to show that intimacy, or even just two good friends who really trust each other and want to have some fun really so gross?

 

 The only time I have an issue with this stuff is when it's posted where it doesn't belong, which is usually only done by trolls. R34 is perfectly fine as long as it's kept in the places it belongs in.

Before I get into this topic let me say this... I do not take part in, or look at any sort of Pony erotica, by any means, so this message Isn't coming from a fan of Rule 34.

 

So, is it wrong for people to like Rule 34 of MLP, or heck, in general? Because honestly, although I don't find it very appealing myself, I can see why other people may like it, and can respect them for liking it, so I don't really have a problem with it. Some others I've seen slam down on it before though, and say It's completely wrong for people to have their interests, at least that's what it seems like to me. Not only that, but there's always the tired excuse that kids will end up seeing it. OK, first of all, their parents should be responsible for their kid and make sure they don't go onto online content that Isn't meant for their age. Two, you don't get porn just by searching mlp into google or looking around online, so what kid is gonna type in "sexy mlp pics lol!" to the search bar? Anyway, I've said my piece.

Its true that it depends on the person, and everyone has their reasons for either wanting to or not wanting to participate in MLP R34. For me, I don't see it as tarnishing the innocence of my favorite characters. For example, I am currently a huge fan of Starlight Glimmer, and I think that the R34 of her that exists makes her feel more real. I feel like it adds more depth to the characters, such as kinks, likes, dislikes, etc. Us humans can have these kinks too, its just something we don't normally talk about in front of everybody. So having this extra aspect to the ponies really makes them feel more real. That's why I treat the innocence of the characters in the show seperate from the R34

I don't see anything wrong with it unless it involves rape, gore, vore, incest, paedophilia or scat/watersports. Consensual sex and genitals have become so taboo, when really they're just a natural part of life, I don't see what's so bad about it.

I've come across some pretty well made R34 images, and even if I don't find them appealing I can respect the artists who made them. I've also seen others that are less artistic and are too vulgar for my taste, but me not liking them is a problem with myself, not with the ones who enjoy it. Just because I don't understand something it doesn't mean it's wrong, and (most) cloppers aren't hurting anyone with what they do, so who am I to judge? Besides, ponies are as sentient and intelligent as humans, and within the standards of their world I can acknowledge that, for example, Rarity is a very attractive mare, and even in the show she has shown that attractiveness before.
 

The only problem I have with cloppers, as someone mentioned before, are the ones who post it where it doesn't belong, but just like bronies who are annoying they're a minority and we shouldn't judge the whole collective based on them.

I don't like how the French generals failed at reading through the almost mad strategy employed by the German forces to go with their tanks through the forest, nor do I like how some French opportunists raised the flag to grab some power for themselves, but many French people fought and died while part of the resistance. More to the point of the thread now, why is loving your significant other "not innocent"? I get the Christian heritage, but why is it told to be a "bad thing" when it's about 2 individuals sharing their love with one another? Also, no one said they wanted MLP forums to have porn in them, on the contrary. Everyone's been saying - whether they think it good or bad - that it should stay where it's meant to be, and keep the forums free of such content.

 

As for whether it's wrong? There's no universal answer. For some it will be wrong, for others it won't be. Good thing it's all up to everyone to choose whether to go look for them or not! The only problem is when those appear even when using the safe search. Now that's not cool.

Out of mine too. I join all those who say "it's fine so long as it doesn't involve gore, rape, ...". Just like how safe search should prevent R34 pics, normal R34 search should keep such specific fetishes away. They will exist and will be drawn, and some will enjoy them, but do so in a dedicated corner or something, where those who don't lik it won't see it. Basic decency you know.

As for your argument, I don't think it's upsetting others. It hasn't upset me at least. Everyone has been educated in different ways. I for one wouldn't look for those and would rather have my ponies (or any character I've grown fond of) spared the R34 treatment like you. I cannot stop it though, and where I disagree is that I do not think it "wrong". I do not exactly like it, but I cannot simply say "it's wrong".

OK, something I want to add here because looking at the replies there are a few things I mean to clarify on.

 

I'm not condoning the posting of Rule 34 MLP images on places like the forums, and agree with the majority saying that it should be kept where it needs to be, so places like DeviantArt for example.

 

Secondly, this is just an opinion I wanted to throw in here, the actual Rule 34 stuff doesn't affect the show in any way. It's not like I'd see a dirty Applejack pic and all I'd ever think about when watching an episode about Applejack is that pic, it doesn't work like that, something like that doesn't ruin a show for you.
