Partialgeek514 5,011 April 17, 2019 Share April 17, 2019 I believe it's possible, though I'm not even sure how to know if someone is a genuine friend or not. What differentiates genuine from non-genuine? Honestly, I probably shouldn't think about stuff like this, or I'll just get depressed.
Stone Cold Steve Jobs 22,441 April 24, 2019 Share April 24, 2019 Without a doubt. I can name two from this site alone. 1 And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!
Kion 7,407 April 24, 2019 Share April 24, 2019 Of course I can name about 10 of them from here alone.
MangoFoalix 25,037 April 24, 2019 Share April 24, 2019 Yes, of course I can. I'm very particular with who I am friendly with but even I can still make friends online.
Rixton 1,105 April 24, 2019 Share April 24, 2019 It is possible. The friendship with my two best friends started over an internet conversation. Of course sooner we had the eventuality to meet personal. Ask me
EpicEnergy 23,224 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 I think it's possible. Although there are some people on the internet who just troll and hate, there are also some people on the internet who are genuinely good people. *totally not up to any shenanigans*

Here No Longer 5,276 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 I know for a fact it's possible to find a "genuine" friend on the internet, and then some.
Meson Bolt 2,648 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 I met my current best friend on this site. And yeah, we're still worlds apart, she's on another continent. But we're taking steps to meet up and elevate our friendship status to "IRL" friend rather than "online" friend. That's gotta be worth something. Your family is who you make it out to be. Alphabet Soup 38 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 I've made more (and better) friends online than I have in person, so I'd say it's possible. Give pizza a chance!
applesjck 5,602 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 I think it’s very possible! I’ve made so many wonderful friends on the internet, and actually met one of them in person about a year back. Online friends really are something special. Lover of all things Applejack. <
Oblivion 20,270 January 3, 2020 Share January 3, 2020 It's possible, you just have to be wary as I've been burned several times by associating with the wrong kind of people online.
Rainbow Cloud 18,306 January 4, 2020 Share January 4, 2020 (edited) Yes I've made some really good friends online and one's who've stuck by me too in situations where I though I would have been on my own. DixonTheAdversary 1,632 January 4, 2020 Share January 4, 2020 I've made a few friends online, but not to the point where I'd meet them in real life or anything like that.
Splashee 28,566 January 4, 2020 Share January 4, 2020 Is it possible to find genuine friends anywhere? Internet might be easier to find a genuine friend than out IRL.
