@,  what do you have so far? character tendency? character likes/dislikes? a hair style/colour? race and gender? i cant just recommend a colour out of thin air lol X3 well.. i can but its best to have an oc that represents who they are better

The generalzoi pony maker is a useful tool for figuring out colour schemes. Before everypony jumps on me, I do think that the ponymaker is very useful when you're working out an OC and deciding what colour to make it. You might, for example, decide to have a red body and blue hair but when you see it, you see that it is blinding and decide to tone it down a bit.

I concur with @Pripyat Pony.

 

Pony Creator is a good starting point to help you better visualize your potential character, as long as you intend to take it further.  The program DOES have its' limits, though - don't be afraid to change/add whatever you feel necessary.

 

In addition, there are some absolutely awesome artists here that would be willing to take your Pony Creator-made OC and draw a more thorough and complete picture for you - some of whom will do so for free, while others - for a price - will be able to render them beautifully for you.

 

But yes - there's nothing wrong with using Pony Creator as a starting point; simply be willing to expand past that to create something wholly unique.
