I guess it's a similar case with Winona and the Diamond Dogs. Different species? (Even though Bernard uses the same base as Angel's) :awuh:

Or it's the other way around and it's Angel who is not like the other bunnies. He could be mute (or he simply chooses not to talk), much like Vinyl Scratch.

Maybe Bernard can't talk and it's just Fluttershy being able to understand animals.

Neither did I. I had to look it up. According to the Viva Las Pegasus Transcript on the MLP wiki, all he said was "Ta-da!" and unintelligible whispering. It wasn't much, so that's probably why we didn't remember it.

To add to that, it was probably only for effect, so I wouldn't put much stock in what Bernard said; think of of it as just a one - off thing with a minor character.

I wouldn't put "TA-DA!" down as anything more than a verbal repetion rather than actual "Speaking". Think of it like how a bird can mimic human speech.
