In the Canon of FiM, Luna calls her sister "Celly", however, in the fandom, Sunbutt is called "Tia" by Luna.

Which nickname do fans prefer from Luna?

Do you think Sunbutt has a nickname for Luna?

I am indifferent on this subject. The nicknames seem to be appropriate usually for both sides, except or ones like Sunbutt that are just meh. ones like that are trying way too hard.

I am indifferent to some of the nicknames, but I have to admit I do like Celestia having the nickname of Tia, it just sounds pretty cute.

Unfortunately 'Celly' makes me think of celery rather than Celestia... so I have to go with Tia.

 

As for Luna, the only thing that comes to mind is Lulu.

I do prefer the official canon names and nicknames that appear throughout MLP as they are recognized by Hasbro. Celly does make me think of a cell-phone but it sounds right to me as opposed to Tia. I have nothing wrong with Tia as a nickname yet it feels like it doesn't suit someone like Celestia.

I like both names, myself. I personally still call her Tia because that's the one I've been using for her so it just rolls off my tongue more naturally.

I just call her Celestia xD

if i have to choose one of existing nicknames for her, i go for Tia. still i wont call her that. also I dont like Sunbutt.

 

plus "tia" in spanish is used like english "gurl"

and literally "tia" means "aunt"

 

for the other ponies the same, i just call them by their name. maybe Apple Jack sometimes AJ

Oh, I think Sunbutt is great. You know it'd only come up in offhanded situations, or casual meetings when she wasn't around, and I don't think it'd ever be used in a mean way.

 

Also, I bet Luna would think it hilarious.

I prefer 'Celly' over 'Tia' myself, especially considering that the obvious equivalent from Celestia to Luna would be 'Loony'. It suits her humor and it's fun to think about the murderous looks Luna would give Celestia whenever she uses that nickname.

I like both, but I usually use Tia.

 

Luna's name is already short enough, so I do not really think that Celestia has a nickname for her.

But if she would have one then maybe Lu?
