My parents got me whatever I wanted for christmas to cheer me up. I got my current laptop, a gamecube, 200$ EB Games gift card. I didn't touch any of it for 3 monthes, I didn't evens eemed happy to get the stuff when I unwrapped it. But I was, just to sad and scared to show it

I don't think I've ever seen a mood get killed this quickly.

Not that that's a bad thing. He did say "worst", and that would definitely qualify, but it was still a huge mood change.

"this one year, we all got constipated on Christmas!"

Lol :D

"my brother died."

When I was 10, my mom got really ill around Christmas time. She had a mrsa. She was in a coma for weeks. She nearly died, and had to undergo a lot of treatment and physical therapy. Thankfully, she's still alive today, and she's well. That just kinda ruined Christmas for me, though, from then on...

I was going to make a joke about how my "useless" parents didn't get me an iPad but now I don't think I'm going to. You poor dears, Jesus. I can't even begin to imagine those awful experiences.

I've never had a Christmas as catastrophic as all you people above me, but for me, this last Christmas would have to be my least favorite. The day itself was fine, but I was doing poorly in school, and the dread of having to go back to school just took all the enjoyment out of the holiday. I know that's not very bad, but you know, first world problems.

Also, anyone who comes into this thread complaining that "My parents didn't get me X" should be shot.

I've never had a "good" Christmas, but I suppose I've never really had a bad one either. It's just like any other day to me.

I actually somehow feel kind of guilty for having great Christmases now.

Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,

Every year is my worst Christmas, cuz' we've decided to do nothing at that time. No, not even mad about that no more, just disappointed above all else.

  • 1 year later...

Man, I feel sorry for some of these people in this thread, my worst isn't anywhere near theirs sad.png

Though my worst was when I had gotten the stomach flu, and stayed up all night throwing up. Than the next day I was expected to go everywhere :/

When I was about six,  I was hyperactively jumping around playing with some new legos, and ended up somehow flipping over a chair and landing on my face hard. I got some stitches for Christmas :). My family always seems to end up getting injured on holidays.

Christmas of 2007 is probably the worst for me, mostly because it was right around when everything started going wrong in my life, reminding me that I'm not a child anymore, and that my post high school life would not be the same life I had before.

There's also the fact that the Christmas before was where I lost that magical feeling that Christmas was coming. In 2007 Christmas time was just depressing. Aside from my own issues that I'm still dealing with today, during Christmas time that year I lost the dog that had been in my life throughout all of my childhood, and right before that my grandpa started to get really sick... Or he was already far along and we didn't know.

Then on Christmas day itself we spent the day picking up all of the branches in the yard thanks to the bad ice storm a couple of weeks earlier.

Christmas '11 was the worst one in recent memory. As is to be expected, tensions were running high with my mom while she was baking the Christmas enchiladas (yeah, enchiladas...we're an unorthodox family), and just as we were about to eat, something I did or said caused her to blow up. I, not knowing when to quit while I'm ahead, made the foolish decision of defending myself, which led to what was probably the worst shouting match I've ever had with my mother. It pretty much killed the mood for everyone, but...well, I learned a valuable lesson that Christmas. Don't argue with mom during the holidays. Even if she is completely in the wrong. dry.png

Christmas of 2005. My aunt basically committed suicide, overdosing on pills, then having the plug pulled later that day. This was exactly on Christmas day. This began a downwards crumble of my mom's side of the family, to which it has only recovered from in the past one to two years.

Basically, this was not a very happy Christmas.
