Meghan should come back in season 8

Iunno about all of you, but season 4 was almost the perfect season in the show! Why? Cause it has a really intense story that connects some of the episodes, all the characters recieved a fair share of development, and all they all had a fair share of episodes too. Yes, there were a few bumps here and there - I know alot of you didn't enjoy episodes like Somepony to Watch Over Me, or Trade Ya. But I believe there was a perfect balance to everything in the show, and even for a kid's show, it had the best overall story any of the seasons could have! All the writers and developers should be thanked for that, but also Meghan for being an amazing leader through it all!

Seasons 5, 6, and 7 were all amazing in their own way! Season 5 had the awesome premiere and a ton of fandom nods! Season 6 fixed Spike and Fluttershy, made great use of Trixie, and brought a new perspective to dragons, griffons, and changelings alike! And finally, season 7 has other fan-panderings and amazing development for all the characters (so far)! But none of that can beat season 4 in my book! Those other seasons had alot of story flaws, an unbalance of character episodes and development, and the Mane Six and the princesses seemed way too helpless at times, and characters were way too OOC alot. Season 4 wasn't perfect either, but it had a balance of things, and an awesome theme to the main arc!

Seasons 5-7, they're good, but they're not connected to the main arc of the show. Since the movie was in production during this time, the main MLP story seemed to have a sudden halt to the main storyline. Seasons 1-4, they're Twilight's arc; seasons 5-7 are Starlight's arc; and when season 8 starts, it's going to start a new era, a new mission for Twilight and the main cast! When that time comes, I would be honored if Meghan were to continue where she left off in season 4, and perhaps to start wrapping things up for the series. Give proper conclusions to all the main cast and supporting characters, so the series can end with a bang in season 9 or 10, whichever!

Although I think season 2 is the best (Best villain(s), all episodes are great and it isn't over the top), season 4 came close on 3. And I agree with you that Meghan was an awesome writer and she should return for seasons 8 - 10. But there are more writers, like Larson, which should return. Meghan was not the only reason season 4 was great. :orly: I hope after season 7 the show is gonna build up to an amazing final. And I have a great idea for that, but we'll just have to wait. :okiedokieloki:

She should be done with the movie by the time S8 rolls in, so maybe her return is highly likely

She's not just in charge of MLP anymore though, she's also overseeing all of Hasbro's cartoons that are in development and aimed at girls. So her involvement is probably going to be more overseeing than actually being the creative lead.

Like marimo said, she's got alot on her plate being charge of every girls show that hasbro makes-- I doubt she'll have time to run FIM like she could before due to all the other stuff. She's probably more focused on getting that hanazuki thing off the ground than Pony anyways, since they probably want it to be the next "big thing" rather than focusing on what they view as an "established" brand. (Like how they're packing it into the MLP movie as a short before it starts to try and get MLP fans onboard it)

Let's hope the writing staff can find another Meghan McCarthy though, because even though most of the writers are great in their own way, none of them has more story driven stories than Meghan did! That's what made season 4 the best! And my biggest issue this season, yet again, is the unbalance of how many episodes each of the main cast, and the recurring supporting cast get for each season. Season 4 was 100% on the dot when it comes to that! Plus ever since season 4, the Mane Six being heroes and the Elements of Harmony arc went to a sudden halt. I know the elements aren't around anymore, but there's still Rainbow Power.

Season 7, I'm hoping, will conclude Starlight's story and her destiny will be fulfilled! That way we can go back to the main cast being the heroes again, and perhaps have an arc where Equestria gets threatened by something big that lasts multiple seasons, and thus will start the Third Friendship is Magic era, where Twilight starts to take Celestia's place, and every character will get some part in that, and go through many changes in their lives dramatically as the show reaches the conclusion.

I wouldn't count on it. She's being put into EQG just to get her more facetime despite her having no ties to the EQG franchise, the odds of her being "Concluded" are basically 1 to 10000000000(ect.) right now.

She's the John Cena of the show right now.
