Status Updates....

How do you post a status update? I've been trying to figure it out for ages.

Click on your name in the top right corner, and then click on "Profile" to go to your profile.

There should be a box that says "Write a public message on your own feed..." That's where you can write and post a status update.

Or, you can go to the forum index, scroll down to where it says "Recent Status Updates", and write your status update in the box that says "What's on your mind?"

Because this thread is asking a general question regarding MLP Forums, I have gone ahead and moved it to Site Questions & Tech Support, as this is where it will receive the appropriate attention.

As Sir Floof stated, simply visit your profile and type your desired update into the 'Write a public message on your own feed...' and then post it. I have attached two images to give a visual of the proccess:

It can be done in few ways - the ones mentioned above or another, quicker way:

If you don't see that option, then you most likely have that feature disabled.
To enable that feature, follow these steps:

STEP 1
Go to your profile.

Access your profile settings.

Enable status updates feature.

You should be able to post your status now.

I have status updates on and i still cant post them. do i have to be a certain level or something?

Fairly sure you don't have access to features like that until you make 5 posts to become a muffin.

The 5 post minimum no longer applies. This can be expanded on by viewing this thread:

However, now that you are a muffin, this no longer applies to you.

There was a settings issue with Status Update permissions preventing Blank Flanks from accessing the feature. I have corrected this.
