The flutter pony giggled shyly the moment she noticed she had randomly snatched the host of the party in a rush of the moment, "Tee-hee~ Pardon me, this is all just so lovely, it brings me so much bliss." Her wings flittered in excitement and gave Gyar a little bow.

Gyar did the same, his ears and neck still slightly red.

"Well, may I 'ave this dance?" he asked her quietly with a chuckle, adjusting his goggles so that they didn't fall in his eyes.

Speda saw that a new pony arrived and went up to him and said "Hi!"

Rosemead gave him a bright smile and nodded as she shyly tired her mane back into the previous bun it had been in. She beat her wings so the chiming sounds would reflect her nervous excitement for another dance.

Storm looked at the pair and he felt an urge to start dancing.

"Uh.....Rose?" Storm asked. "Can I try dancing with you? I want to show you something cool!"

Gyar blinked, his face hardened, and he went back to his scowling brooding mood.

"Soory. I shoulda not 'ave done that. *sigh* Go ahead Storm." he muttered allowing his little disk of water to vanish. He landed on the side of the pool, levitated a broom and went back to cleaning.

 

C'Mon Gyar ye can do be'er than tha'....

 

He thought quietly, a sad, focused look on his face as he swept a few abandoned cups into the dust pan.

"But I live all the way down in Ponyville. How did you get my-" Mask halted his sentence. "Derpy..." "Nevermind."

Gyar chuckled softly, and finished cleaning.

"I'm gonna go refill the table, alrigh'? 'Elp yerself tae any food ye need." he said gloomily.

He stole a glance at Storm, glaring slightly, and then quickly went back to work

Yer the host, ye gotta be kind... Even if he did steal the dance... Agh just ferget aboot it Gyar! YER THE HOST, YE GOT MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TAE DO!He thought as he brought out platters of food and levitated a few pitchers.

Rosemead blinked and nodded at Storm, "Of course," She turned to Gyar and gave him a gentle smile, "Please excuse me for a while, but save a dance for me, ok?" She watched for a moment and the host trudged away and turned back to her friend, "Now, what is it that you wish to show me?" Her front hooves tapped one after the other on the ground excitedly, the shoes upon them making thin metallic clinking sounds.

"Uhh...Just start dancing like....uh....Classical style and I'll show you." he stated.

He took her right hoof with his left hoof, touched his cutie mark against hers and slowly stepped back and forth repeatedly.

"Tell me when you want to see it." he told her, thinking she might be scared.

Rosemead felt her cheeks glow with a small blush and began to waltz along with Storm, wondering what it could be, "I'm burning with curiousity~" Se twirled and dipped as she danced, her wings loosening glittering dust that would stick to her partner's flank, "You can show me~"

"Ok, here we go..." he said to himself.

He concentrated the energy he had into the ground below him and Rose.

This created an invsible platform that gradually lifted him and rose as they were dancing, into the sky.

"Hey, look down." He whispred to her.

Rosemead blinked and looked at her dance partner for a moment before gazing down. She wasn't afraid of heights, but to suddenly realize she was in the air without using her wings had startled her, and squeaked in amusement, "Ohh goodness~! How are you doing this?" She tapped the unseen platform with her hoof, reassuring its sturdiness and presence.

"So you invited all these people Gyar?" Speda asked him.

"Ooh, fancy." Starstream said, intrigued by the mesmerizing display Storm and Rosemead put up.

 

He held one of his drinks up in front of Speda. "Thirsty? I tell ya, unicorns never cease to amaze me."

Mask glanced at Storm. "That pony looks familiar..."

Gyar from the ground stared up at the two ponies, a look of anger, sadness, and self-disappointment all rolled into one plain on his face. He grumbled and finished refilling the table. He put on his mechanical wings and flew upwards cleaning the cobwebs out of corners in the huge glass ceiling. After finishing the task, he glided back down, careful to avoid the dancing ponies. He went back to fiddling with wires and pipecleaners, soon fashioning a little helicopter. He tossed it in the air, and it flew around a little bit before falling into the trash. Gyar gave a grunt of approval and leaned against the wall.

So much fer anypony likin' me He thought, and sighed.

He smiled at her and said, "I'm using my energy to hold us up in the air."

Suddenly, he spotted Gyar with an odd look on his face. What's wrong with him?.....Is he ok?

Storm looked back into Rose's eyes and lost any thought he had.

He just wanted to stay there and waltz with Rose on his little platform of energy he made.

As he waltzed with her, he tilted and relaxed his head and rested it on her head.

Gyar looked back up at the pair. He sighed. A pony of his simplicity would never rise up to the ranks of Storm Spark. He'd be alone. Again. Forever. And not a single pony would care, not even Rose. The one he thought might have cared. Meh, she was after Storm, he didn't care... Right? Right?!

 

Could I actually... But then... He focused on Rosemead. How would she ever notice him? She danced for a moment... Then chose Storm. But why should Gyar be surprised? He was a simple mechanic! Sure he had the mansion, but that was only because of inheritance!

 

Weel... back tae bein' alone. Gyar thought as he watched the sky.

Storm lifted his head for a moment to look back at Gyar.

He felt one of the strings in his heart cut.

Had he done something wrong? Something to hurt Gyar?

He couldn't help but think that he was responsable for something that had hurt Gyar.

Storm shot him a smile, trying to tell him that what ever was bothering him, would work out in the end.

A look of hatred spread across his features as Storm smiled at him.

HE HAD TAE RUB IT IN! OH AS SOON AS THEY GET DOON... Gyar thought, millions of curses whizzing through his mind. Gyar trembled, and his horn shot small sparks. It began to glow. Red. Rage and sorrow flowed through his veins and an out cropping of scales grew on his neck, before he turned and stormed into the hall to the upstairs area.
