Breath of the Wild has officially been named Game of the Year!!! In addition, DLC 2: The Champion's Ballad has just dropped!!!

In celebration of this momentous occasion, tell us your favorite Zelda memory!

What are your predictions for the next LOZ installment, and the Nintendo Switch as a whole?

Favorite Zelda memory of the switch or in general?  I really hope the next installment is one for the 3DS. I do not own a Switch and I'm not planning on buying one anytime soon, or ever, but I really, really love Zelda. So...

One of m favorite Zelda memories is from Ocarina of Time, my favorite of the series. It was when I learned how to beat the Gabu Gabu dungeon for the first time and got the 3 jewels. Upon doing that, I felt so accomplished and then figured out just how much more game was ahead for me. It blew my mind. Ocarina of Time is a game that gives me a sense of adventure that few games can match. If it is on the Switch virtual console service, assuming that ever launches, I will be buying it instantly.

 

As for the next installment, I really can't say, I have not yet played Breath of the Wild, so anyone's guess is as good as mine, probably way better actually. From what I know, BOTW was such a huge change-up for the series, that is does make me wonder what they will do next. The Switch is a resounding success already, selling well over half of the Wii U's entire lifetime sales in just about 10 months. If Nintendo can keep third parties on board, then this will be an amazingly successful platform regardless of it specs. Clearly game releases are very slow right now because of Mario taking the main stage, but hopefully next year, we can see the library become giant.

The 3DS is all but dead now. Also, you should look into the Switch, it's getting good titles in the next year.

Bayonetta, Metroid Prime 4, Yoshi, Kirby,  actually here is a list of all the games coming in 2018 for it.

My favorite Zelda moments are all throughout Majora's Mask. But my favorite is summoning the giants to stop the moon from crashing into Termina, as well as seeing the words, "Dawn of a New Day" after an World-ending apocalypse has been averted!

As for what's next for Zelda and the Switch, don't know; surprise me!

A Link to the Past is still my favorite Zelda game, but Breath of the Wild came really close

My favorite is the final sword battle with Ganon in Twilight Princess (GC). Whenever I'd boot up the save file to do the final battle again I'd always down a Great Fairy's Tears before the final blow and put on the magic armor so I was glowing gold and magnificent in the cutscenes that followed
