movies/tv Owning A B1 Battle Droid

Congratulations you are now the owner of a brand new B1 Battle Droid (E-5 Blaster included), what would you program it to do?

Those who aren't familiar with Star Wars lore, B1 Battle Droids are the backbone of the CIS army. They are cheaply made, mass produced, and are about as durable as humans. That doesn't mean they are shoddy when it comes to doing tasks, though they can become rather talkative and will either keep you entertained, or annoy you beyond belief. They also can be used for more than just combat, in one comic a B1 Battle Droid is found years later deactivated but intact, it is reprogrammed to assist on a farm.

That being said, I'd probably program it to do minor tasks around the house, along with protecting myself, and valuables. I'd probably not allow it to leave the house unless I order it to, as it would probably wander off until its power runs out, or get itself killed.

I think I would make it my personal assistant. Just to clean stuff and protect me. Good thing it can be folded up and stored in a closet or something.

Better a B1 than a B2 (Super Battle Droid), because a B1 droid seems to be able to do more than just march around and blow things up. They are much more than mere infantry, especially in the Clone Wars cartoon. Yeah, I'm sure they can get annoying, but I'm sure there would be a way to shut my droid's voice off.

I'd rather have that round droid (Sorry, don't know his name/numbers) He's cute!

I'd assume you're referring to a Droideka. They're one of the most dangerous droids in the droid army, their design is based off of one of the most terrifying sentient species in the galaxy the Colicoid, they cannot speak (as far as I know), and are really only useful as mobile sentries.

Well scratch everything I just said, that is a BB-8 unit.

LOL!! OMG, I didn’t know the official model name for them, but it’s the “Roger, Roger” droids! OMG, yes, I’d love one. I’d also teach it to do chores and carry groceries, but I’d also take him to comic conventions and into stores when I go shopping.

I'd program it to tap dance and keep me entertained while performing manual labor around the kitchen, just to see if it can manage both without blowing a fuse. And, as long as it comes with an E-5 blaster, it can take care of my annoying neighbors when I'm trying to sleep and the noise gets too loud.

They are absolutely worthless lol! And they are remote driven so if the ship is destroyed, their heads fall off. I don't think I would like owning one.
