Is Equestria the world, or is it a contenant.

So is Equestria their World or is it a Region. I know that there' a map of Equestria but it seems like it is a bit small to be the whole world.

Equestria is mainly the continent. The entire world it's on was referred to as "The Realm" by an important character whose name I won't say if you haven't seen S7 Finale.

I think it is just the pony Principality, not the entire continent. It is what ever Celestia has control over.

I think Equestria is the continent and name of the actual country, they both share the name "Equestria", kinda like how Australia is the name of the country, and continent on which said country is on.

I honestly think that the name Equestria applies only to the country and continent. Think Australia.

I think Equestria is only a continent, as there are much more places that have been explored outside of Equestria.

It was a world, until the Movie decided to make it a country or at least have borders? It's weird.
