Ok, everypony. I know Sule's plan was kinda complicated, so in my boredom I made some pretty pictures explaining it while I watched MLP.

 

 

 

First, the Diversion Army hides in the forest, while the Invasion Army hides in the tunnel that were made.

 

 

 

 

The Invasion Army detonates the explosives and the Diversion Army charges (Doesn't show that, sorry)

 

 

 

 

Tyrannus' Army will begin to spill out of the city by air and ground. The diversion army will meet them head on and lead them away from the city, making sure all the ponies are coming out. The Invasion Army will make their way into the city via the tunnels and start to take control of the various districts. The Infiltration team is also in the castle by now.

 

 

 

 

The Infiltration team with Midnight will make there way to the top of the castle, where Midnight will try to remove the mind control from Tyrannus' Army

 

 

 

 

By now, the Invasion Army has taken over the city. Tyrannus' army is now surrounded and will surrender (coming back to their senses after mind control is broken). The Infiltration team fights with Tyrannus, and somehow he is killed by Nova (that's Tyrannus falling out of the castle window). Nova escapes with all the Super Soldiers (they arent seen in the battle), and we move on to that chapter.

And regarding the war plan: blowing the wall would certainly collapse the tunnels underneath, so it wouldn't be useful to use them to smuggle troops into the city when the walls are penetrated.

 

Also, another issue I didn't think of until now, is there's also a sewer system under Chiroptera. Is there a better reason to spend the time and resources digging tunnels then send troops into the sewers?

Magical unicorns will make the wall stronger, plus the bunkers are better fortified. They will hold, hopefully

The will probably tunnel into the Sewers, then make topside from there. The reason for tunneling all the way to the city is so they are undetected, and the enemy focuses in the Diversion Army.
