Firstly note: Name is W.I.P if you don't want to join and just have a better idea for a name please do... seriously I suck at names XD.

So basically this is a wild wacky multiverse adventure with magic, star trek style pseudo science and star wars style battles, where the mood can swiftly change and allies can become enemies. With references around every corner, a wide variety of fun characters and vital lore ripped straight from over games/movies because: "Hey originalities dead". This will have lots of action and comedy with the characters being thrust from there respective universes and thrown into a world where they are completely out numbered and lots of people will likely want them dead. I may also put in some 'puzzles' and I use the term lightly, more like scenarios which may have a slightly better/easier solution if you can work it out, as well as that the choices you make will very much have an effect on the state of the multiverse around you. This is also a reboot, because I wasn't happy with how I started things off and it made things hard for the players (such as finding it hard to post).

My aim for this RP is to create a role play in which the characters (that's you!) have as much free rain as possible, where you aren't stuck to a linear story and can only really make certain choices, so while there is an over arching story the RP, the effect the characters have on it, as well as what actually happens will depend on the choices you make. One way I'm going to try to do this is by letting you guys decide what kind of place you want to go to, and making a story around that. For example, your friends are in a battle, you could help out in some way, or you could not take part and instead go on a separate adventure which might cause your friends to lose. 

Onto the next topic, characters. Firstly I would like to (some what ironically ask) for no ponies, just for the fact that due to the kind of setting the RP will be based in it wouldn't be very nice for the pony, a lot of making fun of and such, apart from that anything generally humanoid is fine. Also your character can be from any universe, whether from something like an anime, or even one you've made up yourself this can go onto explain what powers/abilities (if any) your character has. Also you can have as many characters as you like, I would say around 3 would be the ideal max, but if you think you can play more, then be my guest. If you would now direct yourself slightly lower down the page and I shall show you good people how to sign up, if you would like to.

Alignment: This is like Chaotic good, Lawful evil that kind of thing.

Class: This can be anything it's just something which easily sums up your characters skills.

Primal attunement: This is basically what element your character is most in-sync with and this can be anything e.g: Light, Dark, nature, metal, logic(technology). Also note this is optional and your character doesn't even need to have any skill with it/even know they have it. If you like it can lead up to powers they may get later on.

Universe: I quick little summery of the kind of universe your character comes from.

Backstory: What heart retching tragedy confines your character in their own personal darkness, alternatively, if you want to do for something a little less DC, what's up with your character, who are they? What do they do?

Other: Basically anything else you feel like adding.

 

Side note with characters: No over powered god characters, so a character can be powerful, but leave some space for progression so your not going to be ripping apart planets or devouring universes. Another note is that not characters which can hop dimensions or bend space-time at will or anything like that, because if a character is pulled away from their home dimension but can go back at a click of their fingers, it makes everything a little pointless.

Name: Trunks Briefs 

Age: 14

Appearance: 

Trunks briefs is a 4'2 half saiyan with lavander hair. Though he looks younger than his age would suggest, saiyans are known for taking their time with the aging process. He weighs 66 pounds and is surprisingly muscular for someone who looks as young as he does, though if you knew his training regimen it wouldn't be THAT surprising. 

Personality: While a bit on the spoiled and mischievous side, he's generally a good natured kid who wants to do the right thing when the chips are down. Unlike his future counterpart, his life has comparatively been rather peaceful, and he's known the security of having family and friends that are all powerful enough to defend the earth. He doesn't quite know how powerful he really is since he only gauges power based off of his friends and family, and many of them far exceed what he is capable of at the moment. 

Alignment:  Neutral to a smidgen chaotic good. However a firm talking too by an adult can straighten him out very quickly if he's being bad.  

Class: Trunks is a martial artist and the son of a Prince and a wealthy business mogul family. While his powers are not as impressive as the others in his close circle of friends and family, in other universes he would be considered godlike. 

Primal attunement: Magic. Though he doesn't know it, and likely would never have been trained in it by his friends and family, he'd have a natural affinity for magic. 

Universe: The dragon ball multiverse is rife with fighters that are capable of destroying everything from planets to galaxies. Trunk's father is counted among some of the strongest fighters in their entire universe, matching pace with even Gods of Destruction, powerful deities who's job is it to eradicate planets and maintain balance. 

Backstory: Trunks has lived a relatively calm life (by dragon ball standards) thanks to his alternate future counterpart. He has not known the death of his family and the near eradication of humanity like the other Trunks had, instead he has been able to grow up under the strict training regimen of his father and the lap of luxury provided by his mother's business. Though he has lent his hand to fighting to save the world during the threat of Majin Buu, for the most part he has stayed in the back while the grown ups dealt with the universe ending threats. This would be a chance for him to really do those heroics he always hears about. 

Powers:

Ki manipulation: Ki is an energy source found in all life from where he came from, and likely from other universes as well. It can be taught to pretty much anyone where he comes from, though his close circle of friends and family are exceptionally powerful. Each and every one of them with power could blow up planets with their own personal energy. Even the likes of Master Roshi, an old hermit who is very weak in comparison to others on the roster, is capable of blowing up the moon and perhaps even greater now that he has begun training again.

Trunks himself is exceptionally powerful for his age. He regularly trains with his father under 400+ times normal gravity, which he can freely move around in. Though the upper limits of his physical strength have not been tested, 400+ times gravity would imply that he could move about absolutely unhindered with 13 tons of force on him at all times. His physical lifting capabilities are at bare minimum in the thousands of tons. Similarly powered individuals from his universe have been shown to casually be able to lift anything from Tanks to 747 commercial jets with ease. Individuals far weaker than him have shown to be able to lift entire pyramids with just their energy. 

Piccolo as shown here was far weaker than Trunks during the saiyan saga, and he is shown here lifting the Pyramids with his energy. He was so weak in fact he became multiple times stronger than this during that arc and still lost to even stronger opponents. The Pyramid of Giza is made of bricks that individually weigh 2.3 tons. It is comprised of 2,300,000 of such bricks. Meaning, at this severely weaker level, he was able to lift in excess of 5 million tons with his ki energy alone. Trunks, being countless times stronger than this version of Piccolo would be capable of doing this with frightful ease. 

Bullets would do nothing against Trunks, nor would any conventional weaponry. This is due to the naturally protective properties of ki. Even the weakest ki users only are bruised from gunfire, while most do not feel it at all. Trunks has even taken on entire armies with tanks and machine gun fire with his friend Goten, and it ended up being more of a game than anything else. 

 

Trunks can fly at remarkable speeds. Though he tends to cruise around super sonic speeds, in combat he can easily reach speeds too fast for even super powered individuals to follow. 

He's not used to truly using his full potential as he's never really in mortal danger that often. Normally when he's just playing around with his friend goten he barely expends any of his energy, and usually against stronger opponents in the verse things like telekinetic manipulation and other fancier tricks are ineffective against them.  

 

Name: Xena 

Age: 28 

Appearance: 

Personality: Xena is a hardened, world weary individual who just wants to do the right thing and atone for the sins of her past. She has experienced much on her travels, and it has translated to a wealth of knowledge and wisdom that she's not afraid to dispense. She is very skeptical and mistrusting of new people, but if she sees people under attack, she will not hesitate to join in the fight to save them. 

Alignment: Chaotic good, though she can be driven to evil deeds if provoked. 

Class: Xena is a Warrior Princess. She has acquired a myriad of fighting styles and techniques over her many years of traveling. From her insane accuracy with ranged weapons like her  chakram, which she can rebound off of nearly anything and return to her hand, to her amazon training, to abilities she was never able to fully master like ki manipulation. 

Primal attunement: Spiritual Power, specifically traveling in spirit worlds and channeling spirits  

Universe: Xena comes from a version of earth from around 100 bc. Gods and Goddesses roam freely about this world, manipulating people for their own ends. However they are nowhere near as powerful as other realities deities. 

Backstory: Xena was once a feared warlord responsible for the deaths of many. Over the years she eventually ran afoul of Caesar, who had her legs broken. She traveled to the east, where she ended up under the tutelage of Lao Ma, a Chinese royal whom had achieved an intense inner calm that allowed her to use ki. Xena was occasionally able to tap into this ability, but her anger prevented her from truly learning how. She eventually left, her training incomplete, though Lao Ma's influence stayed with Xena. From there she trained with Amazons, as well as an evil shaman woman by the name of Alti. She gave into Alti's promises of powers and killed all of the Amazon leaders in a brutal fight. Over the years she grew more conflicted about what she was doing, and those conflicted feelings were finally changed by two people. Hercules and Gabriel. Hercules fought her and encouraged her to change her ways, and Gabriel ended up joining her on her travels and helped keep her on the straight and narrow. 

Powers: 

Xena is quite strong for a human, able to use her training as a warrior and a martial artist to leap dozens of feet in the air. She's also able to engage giants, monsters, and even gods from her world in battle. 

She is quite adept at nerve manipulations, especially a technique that can cut off the flow of blood to the brain and others that can help ease pain and aid in the healing process. 

Her accuracy with ranged weapons is superhuman. She can throw pretty much anything and have it rebound around until it returns to her hand. One of her most iconic weapons is her Chakram, which she has used on a number of occasions to take down waves of enemies.

Fighting style influenced by Steven Segal & Jackie Chan. Centers around evasion, deflection, disarmament, throws, choke holds, joint manipulation and ground fighting. Also can manipulate ki/chi.

However, if she is under too much physical or mental stress, then she'll loose control and go into a frenzy, where her fight or flight instincts kick in. The latter will have her bolt as fast as she can away from the danger. The former will have her kill anything she perceives to be a threat with the upmost savage fury, ignoring all pain and battle damage. 

 

Other:  Trained in Greco-Roman and English catch wrestling, as well as Muay Thai kickboxing. Trained in HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts), which makes her proficient with mid-evil melee weapons and techniques (sword, ax, spear, halberd, war hammer, mace, shield).

Backstory: Raised among the Nordic werewolf tribes in a world where the supernatural lurks in the shadows away from the prying eyes of mortal society. A world where nights are darker, shadows are longer, the fog is thicker, noises come from places they shouldn't and everything seems that much shrouded in mystery.  The were-beasts are mother nature's first line of offense. An evolutionary adaptation to combat unnatural threats, whether they be ecological destruction by the societies of earth, spiritual attacks from other realms, or the forces of corruption, decay and entropy given form. To many, it seems like millennia of hidden war between factions and sub-factions, supernatural and mundane, are starting to wane, giving many, like Mindy, the chance at a normal life. The hope to follow her dreams and be a musician, a performer, a teacher. The possibilities are endless compared to when her ancestors used to be sentinels against the unknown. Yet it is during this time of peace where many are even more on edge. She may be able to freely live life, yet in this time of peace, she feels more on edge, now that there is something to protect and preserve.

To her, it's too quiet.... like the calm before a storm.

It's a portal. Though the portal is any reflective surface. And even then, it's more like a teleport.

Name: X (alias, real name to be released soon)

Age: unknown

Appearance: Humanoid, cybernetic limbs, futuristic helmet covers their face, helmet features are a triple pronged polygonal faceplate with a visor that matches the faceplate shape (think of the PED troopers from Metroid Prome 3: Corruption)

Personality: Mostly stoic and quiet, however is VERY psychotic and masochistic as in he wont back down no matter how much pain he appears to be in

Alignment: True Neutral

Class: Psychotic techromancer

Primal attunement: Logic & Psycic

Universe: X is from a universe in which there is a galactic alliance forged against an ancient threat that comes to destroy all life in the galaxy. X in particular is a volunteer experimental soldier test subject created to counter this foreign threat  

Backstory: X was once just a regular soldier in the Resistance of the Enclave Supremacy of Intergalactic Space Tyrants, or RESIST. However, he was badly wounded during the Last Stand of the Falchion Bastion, where an armada of ten million soldiers from the Genesis Alliance Military Enforcement System, or GAMES, which was lead by the powerful Armageddon, the Obliterator, and his son, Ragnarok, the Annihilator, overwhelmed their meager 100,000 RESISTance fighters. Of the 100,000 fighters in the resistance, only about 250 were recovered from the massacre. X was one of those survivors. That Falchion Bastion had fallen, the GAMES had taken over the last outside base of the resistance. Their home base located in what they called Freedom City was the last known resistance sanctuay remained standing, and is the last target of the GAMES. 

Other: There were many different things that the resistance was trying to experiment with on their resurrected test subjects. X in particular has the souls of 4 different resistance generals embedded into his psyche. One is kind, one is ruthless, one is compassionate, and one is eternally famished. X’s base form is simply stoic, tactical and level-headed. All 5 forms of X are capable of varying abilities, which will be revealed as his comrades encounter these avatars as they manifest themselves.

Still feels very trapped in a roomish. I have a few questions. 

Trunks can sense living things on a planetary level, and he can pick up even higher power levels (mostly ki based) from even further away. What can he pick up about where he is. Is he on a planet? Is this a spaceship, what are we working with? 

Did we all just fall out of this vortex? Were we all unconscious when we came through? What's going on with that? Also why would one vortex bring in people from multiple different realities seemingly at random?

To your first, third and last question, who knows? maybe? that's up for your characters to theories/find out about.

To your second question: No, what I was getting at was that you guys were going about your daily business when a tear in reality sucked you up, as soon as you were sucked in your characters will have blacked out.

@Skylord Nexus few questions. 

1) Is this guy all robot or partially robot? If he's partially robot trunks maybe able to sense his energy (Dr Gero's Cyborg/Androids were specially designed to avoid detection), however if he's a full robot then I'll need to edit my post to make it so Trunks saw him instead of just sensed him, cause they can't sense robots like that. 

2) Xena is adept at reading people and figuring out what their alignments/intentions are, and she airs on the side of mistrusting people. What's her read on this guy? 

Also, although it's not used very often, Dragon Ball characters can use telepathy. I'm planning on using that for my next post to send out a message to the ship crew.

@Kronos the Revenant The post could still work since there is a lot of rubble around the room and he technically hasn't moved yet. He could have just not been in a position to see the other people yet.

Battle capabilities:

Expert marksman: X is a veteran resistance general with thousands of confirmed kills on his belt in the RESISTance. Excellent with a variety of firearms.

Battle-Ready Madness: His multiple personalities are capable of overtaking X's body and fight their way. Fighting styles to be mentioned as the story goes on.

CQC Master: X is capable of using his fists or any kind of melee weapon with superior efficiency. He's almost unmatched in close quarters combat......ALMOST.

Tinkering Savant: Being a completely isolated soldier, X learned to tinker with lots of junk and scrap and became capable of turning trash into lethal weapons.

Mechanical Limbs: X's mechanical limbs are capable of turning into a variety of tools, which he can make into makeshift weaponry with limited efficiency

Static Discharge: X is capable of charging his internal power core and releasing a massive shockwave that disables electronics instantly and stuns any organic matter with static electricity, but it renders X incapacitated for a while until he either recharges manually or gets jumpstarted by someone else.

Combat Scanner: X's prosthetic eye is capable of scanning various individuals to either analyze their combat capabilities or see them through walls of up to 5 feet thick, but not capable of doing both simultaneously.

Masochism: Pain is nothing to this guy. If anything, pain only entices X to fight even harder. Getting hurt allows X to fight harder, but makes him more susceptible to being killed very easily.

Extreme Strength: Even before his cybernetic limbs, X was very strong physically. X is capable of tearing apart almost any material and can lift enemies that are almost four times bigger and heavier than he is.

 

 

I hope that that gives a general rundown of who X is and what he's capable of. Also, X is supposedly along a wall examining the residue on the wall.

Battle-Ready Madness: His multiple personalities are capable of overtaking X's body and fight their way. Fighting styles to be mentioned as the story goes on.

CQC Master: X is capable of using his fists or any kind of melee weapon with superior efficiency. He's almost unmatched in close quarters combat......ALMOST.

Tinkering Savant: Being a completely isolated soldier, X learned to tinker with lots of junk and scrap and became capable of turning trash into lethal weapons.

Mechanical Limbs: X's mechanical limbs are capable of turning into a variety of tools, which he can make into makeshift weaponry with limited efficiency

Static Discharge: X is capable of charging his internal power core and releasing a massive shockwave that disables electronics instantly and stuns any organic matter with static electricity, but it renders X incapacitated for a while until he either recharges manually or gets jumpstarted by someone else.

Combat Scanner: X's prosthetic eye is capable of scanning various individuals to either analyze their combat capabilities or see them through walls of up to 5 feet thick, but not capable of doing both simultaneously.

Masochism: Pain is nothing to this guy. If anything, pain only entices X to fight even harder. Getting hurt allows X to fight harder, but makes him more susceptible to being killed very easily.

Extreme Strength: Even before his cybernetic limbs, X was very strong physically. X is capable of tearing apart almost any material and can lift enemies that are almost four times bigger and heavier than he is.

 

 

I hope that that gives a general rundown of who X is and what he's capable of. Also, X is supposedly along a wall examining the residue on the wall.

Alrighty. Knowing this, I would say Xena would have a rough time with your character. She's not really familiar with any kind of technology since she's from 100 bc. However she is also quite a skilled fighter and is strong enough to leap dozens of feet in the air and take on individuals who are many times stronger than mortal men. However she's also used to people getting knocked out during fights, and while she can keep going for awhile I'd hazard a guess that X probably would outlast her. 

However, I'm letting you know now that he is absolutely, completely, and totally out classed by Trunks. If they were to fight, it would not be a contest, it would not be fair, and it would not be even close to evenly matched. If Trunks felt it necessary, he could easily incinerate X without breaking a sweat. That's not me trying to brag, that's me telling you that you might want to figure out a way for your character to NOT want to fight (more specifically not try to kill)Trunks. It may be in your characters nature to fight to the bitter end, but he WILL die and fast if it comes to that. I don't want to eliminate people's characters so early on.  I'd highly recommend you use your combat scanner as a way to inform your character that he has absolutely no chance with Trunks. I'm not sure how you'd go about doing this considering his personality type, but if you want him to live long term I'd definitely figure it out. 

If you have any knowledge of the Dragon Ball, DBZ, Dragon ball Super franchises, you know exactly why that is the case.

I would've guessed. And, based on that, X's combat scanner has a function that's similar to the scouters that the Ginyu Force uses, so X wont underestimate, let alone mess with, Trunks. He'll most likely find it in his best interest to be friends with him, unless a certain word is uttered, which you guys will know which should it be said or should the situation call him out.
