The Hunger Games

Are you fan of the books/films? If you read the books, what did you think of the film adaptations?

I was one of the people who saw the film first. I recently read the first book and re-watched the first film. I would like to hear other people's thoughts on the series.

I really don't like the books. Granted, I only read the first one so maybe the rest of the series is better but whatever. My main problem is that it's simply a worse version of battle royal.

I never read the books so I can't compare it with the movies. But on their own, I liked the first two Hunger Games movies. Splitting the last part into two movies was a cheap cash grab and  the first part had too much filler. 

When I first heard of Hunger Games I thought, "Is this another one of those 1970s style kill-everybody-till-you-win?" kinds of movies, which it is, really. But I have to admit that those first two installments were very compelling and fun nonetheless.

I had read the first book for a class assignment once. It was pretty good, but I haven't been motivated to read the subsequent novels.

I read the first 2 books, the 3rd I stopped within the first few chapters, didn't hold my interest as well. The movies were mediocre at best.
