The rest of the crowd became as restless as Rose, screaming out complaints about how the fight was interrupted.

"Now now! I'm sure the tournament committee has a perfectly good reason for this interruption!" Topaz said nervously. "Huh?" she looked up at the projector screen on the west wall of the stadium as it flickered on, normally it was only used to display scores.

The screen flashed white and then started playing a video clip from Jade's match with cumulus. It showed Cumulus charging at her with his legs crossed and crashing into her chest, slamming her into the wall behind her. The clipped paused.

"The rules state that a fighter is out of the ring when they touch a solid surface other than the ring itself. At this point, Jade Lotus was considered out of the ring." The announcer explained.

"But... they tell me not to interrupt ariel fights with technicalities like that..." Topaz muttered quietly.

Some of the audience members muttered about the ruling. "Have you ever seen a call like that?"

"No, they usually wait until a fighter is incapacitated to start a countdown."

"Didn't something similar happen in the Spirit Warriors' fight yesterday? No one started a countdown for that."

"Who cares? Team Lotus is finished!"

The announcer spoke again, "For this reason, the tournament committee has unanimously decided that the last fight be a double loss. Therefore Jade Lotus is ineligible to fight."

As he listened to the explanation, Dynamo gritted his teeth in anger, but he tried to stay calm. He watched the entire fight and he knew that Jade was never out of bounds in the battle. The committee just wanted to get the advantage, so they would ultimately lose the entire round. "If it's not one thing, then it's another. Which means we're down to our last teammate, but I just hope she'll be okay for this fight." He says, looking over to Rose as she was about to enter the ring.

He understood that she was weakened, but he would have the utmost of confidence in his teammate. He knew what she was capable of and knew that she wouldn't give up. "You can do this, Rose! Just give it all you've got and I know you can win! Just remember what I told you and you'll be just fine!" He called out to her. He knew the spell he gave her would help, but it would only last for a short amount of time. He just hoped that the spell would help when she needed it the most.

Draco while still having his speed boosting skill through out his body threw one of his gauntlets in front of the blast quickly. There his legs and hoof was uncovered. It looks like they were cut up from many different blades.

Rose didn't say a thing, but as soon as Topaz told them to begin, she boosted toward Zerra while going for a swing at her neck while getting a kick ready in case that the swing fails to either make contact or take her out

Zerra stepped to the right from her punch and used her front left hoof to block the kick while directing Rose forward with her own momentum. Then she kicked at Rose's back where some of her bones were still broken.

Rose shifted slightly to avoid getting kicked at her broken bone. The hit made her tumble forward, but she jumped into it slashed up with her knife, held by her hind leg, at her leg. She closed her eyes and started to, while keeping her busy, make a circle around the stadium

Zerra used her hoof to block the blade. The tip of her hoof pressed against the edge of the blade, but several yellow sparks came out from her hoof and wrapped around the blade, pushing it away and stopping it from touching her.

The tips of Zerra's wings glowed yellow and they trailed beams of electric energy behind her when she moved. She jumped forward and swiftly ran past Rose, circling around her while trailing a long electric bolt.

Watching Zerra's technique made Jade's scowl deepen as she sat on the bench, hooves crossed while she pouted.

"I should be in there right now," she grumbled.

Once Rose landed, she opened her eyes and carefully watched Zerra fly around her. She could see the sparks coming off her wings. She sat down and cleared a small ring around her. She closed her eyes and waited for the right time

Cosmic was surprised as Draco had used his gauntlet to block the laser beam. The surprise turned to horror as Cosmic's horn shattered from the magic he used. Upon shattering, the neon green unicorn screamed at the top of his lungs. The scream could be heard for miles as Cosmic fell to the ground in pain. He placed his hooves on his forehead, while writhing in pain. "H-How dare you! My horn can never be fixed now! You're going to pay for this! Do you hear me!?" He screeched, looking up at Draco with grit teeth and a seething look in his eyes.

Dynamo managed to get up from his sitting position and slowly walked over back to his team. He sat down on the bench and sighed. Even if it was a short walk, he was still tired from his battles. He set his sights on the ring, before glancing over at Jade, who seemed to be in an angry mood. "I know what you mean, but it can't be helped. That committee is just out to take us down. So, there's really nothing we can do, except believe and cheer for Rose." He says, giving Jade a reassuring look. "Besides. She isn't alone out there. In a way, I'm out there giving her some support." He chuckled with a wink, before continuing. "You'll see when the time is right. I just hope Rose uses the spell I gave her. Also, how are you holding up? I know you got burned during the fight, but I hope it's nothing serious." He says, feeling concerned for his captain and friend. "I know I'm going to have to go to the infirmary after this. I hope I can get rid of the toxins and the poison joke." He says, turning back to the battle between Rose and Zerra.

"If I had known I'd be facing clowns and cowards," Jade growled, "I would never have agreed to come here."

She put a hoof to the burn on her cheek. It still stung and the fur was singed, but it the pain had calmed. "I'm fine, I've had worse than a few burns. The infirmary should be able to take care of you, if they aren't corrupt as well." She spat.

Zerra didn't know what Rose was planning with the ring, but it didn't matter. Once Rose stood still, she played into her hooves. The trail of sparks behind Zerra was already extended past Rose. Then it moved on its own and circled around her. The circle spun around her, forming more trails of electricity that created a sphere. The sphere shrunk in size and started zapping Rose all over her body with bolts of magical electricity that shocked her very nerves, tricking her body into experiencing searing pain.

"Cage of Torment!" Zerra shouted as the electrical sphere lit up the stadium with yellow light.

"Zerra has captured Rose in some kind of energy field!" Topaz said, wearing a pair of darkened sunglasses. "And with a name like that, you just know there's some wonderful torturing going on!"

"It feels like every nerve in your body is being split in half doesn't it Rose?" Zerra asked, flicking her wings to shake off some of the excess sparks. "This technique has killed healthy ponies. Let's see what it does to you."

"Well, that's not going to happen," Tricis said bluntly. She listened to Dynamo's hopeful speak while staring at the currently one-sided match. "In case it hasn't been made clear to you yet, it doesn't matter what should happen. The fact of the matter is that Rose just signed herself up for this. She knew what she was getting into when she walked onto that ring and it isn't going to be pretty. If you can't watch it, just look away." 

She turned to Jade and Pad and waited for them to look back at her. "It might be time for you to start considering the real possibility of what you'll do if she doesn't survive this. She can win, but it's up to her to figure out how to bring out her strength. The more likely scenario won't end well for any of us. You know they aren't just going to let you pack your things and go home if we lose this tournament."

The diamond dog silently crept in the bushes, watching Snow carrying Frozen and Draco attacking Cosmic. She had healed herself of her wounds in the time since draco abandoned her. She had her sickle in her hand and she was waiting for the right moment, but they were both in good positions right now, so she held back.

Rose felt the electricity course through her and she pulled up the wall to stop it, she thought about slicing herself open to allow her shadow to enter, but she decided not to. She flung her knife through the wall at Zerra as she allowed her injured leg and wings to stop twitching

Zerra lifted a hoof as the dagger flew at her. A bolt of electricity swirled around her leg and connected to the blade, stopping it in place and making it hold in the air for a few seconds before stopping to the ground.

Rose's shield wall worked at first, but the electric bolts enclosed around it and zapped it on all sides before it suddenly weakened and disappeared. The cage electrocuted Rose for a few more moments before the attack expired.

"I'm surprised you even have the energy to summon a shadow, but as you can see, it wont do you much good. Your body has already used all of your energy on keeping you alive!" Zerra said. She flicked her wings and reignited them with electrical energy. "I admire your decision to fight me, but it won't do you any good!"

She dashed at Rose with a trail of sparks trailing behind her, ready to catch rose again.

Dynamo sighed in relief as his friend was okay. "That's good to hear. You're my friend, so I can't help in worrying. I'm just glad to know that you made it through the matches." He says, nodding at her suggestion, before quickly shaking his head. "I might have to look into that. Seeing how we aren't on the committee's good side. I don't know what they'll do, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

As the match started, Dynamo gritted his teeth as Rose was caught in an energy field. The energy field looked to be hurting her, while she desperately tried to escape. The gaming unicorn looked over to Tricis, who was addressing both Jade and himself. As he listened to what Tricis had to say, Dynamo narrowed his eyes, before looking back to the fight. "If that might be the real possibility, then I'll keep hoping for the other possibility. The possibility that Rose will win." He says, before continuing. "I know what you're trying to say coach. The odds may look stacked against her and us. However, if there's even a small chance that she can win, then I know she'll find it." He says, turning his gaze back to Tricis. "During that fight, I was able to find and bring out my strength. She may be injured, but I know she can do this. If I was able to, then she can, as well. We are all strong in our own ways. We can be stubborn at times, but we don't quit that easily. If there's one thing I know about this team, then it's the fact that we don't give up in the worst of times." He sighs as his gaze softened. "Look, I get it. I know I'm just stating the obvious, or I'm just hoping for something that others can't see. It's just that you, Jade and Rose are my friends. If there's one thing that I know, it's that I won't ever abandon or give up on my friends. So, I'll always believe in all of you, no matter what. We're a team and we'll win as a team."

Dynamo was relieved that the force field had ended, but he knew this wasn't the end. He noticed Zerra, who coated her wings with electricity, before dashing towards Rose. He looked to Rose and gave his teammate a hopeful look. 'If there's ever a time to use that spell, then now's the time. You can do this Rose. I know you can and I believe in you, my friend.'

Rose lost focus as her sword landed into the ground at her hooves, then she got an idea on how to win. She opened her wings and got on her hind legs and said as she picked up her sword and charged at Zerra, "Wind." She was still wondering how her sword got there in the first place, but it didn't matter right now

I suggest you find a medic before your wound gets infected... and trust me an open wound that big, that close to your brain is certain death if not treated right." Frostflame kneels down to Frozen "Your buddy could of killed you with that blast, all in the name of vengeance... perhaps its time you should find new friends." He says as he continues moving Frozen out of the way. "But for now, we can't let you go... you'll be coming with us to meet the rest of the gang."

Cosmic closed his eyes as he was still in pain from what had happened. He managed to open one eye to look over at Snow. "You must be a fool. There isn't a way to fix a broken horn. Not unless you have powerful magic, or you use some sort of ancient artifact." Frozen stated, while he was still trying to break lose from being tied up. "This battle isn't over. I won't stop until I get my revenge on how you broke my horn! I won't sit here and be made a fool out of! First by Kyubiki and now by you two! I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS HUMILIATION!" The neon green unicorn shook as he tried to charge up for another spell. He tried to fire a laser spell, but all that happened was electricity blasting in random directions. "T-There's no way I can control my magic anymore. I-I can't do anything. This is all your fault! Speaking of almost hitting Frozen. Who cares if I did. If he's tied up like that, then he's rendered useless to me. I don't need a teammate, who can be captured so easily." Frozen looked to Snow, who was giving the ebony Pegasus some advice. He scoffed at the idea and shook his head. "Oh, please. He's not my friend. We are on the same team and we have our common goals. All I need is the perfect strategy and then nobody, not even you or Draco, can stop us!" He exclaims, being moved out of the way by Snow. "Meeting the rest of your gang?" Frozen asks, raising an eyebrow at Snow's remark. "So, we'll be going to see your team at the arena? Just what do you have to gain by doing that, huh? We won't let you do something like that so easily." He says, while Cosmic tried to listen what was being discussed by the others. "There's no way any of you are taking me anywhere!" Cosmic exclaims, running away, while trying to charge a teleportation spell.

Draco sighed as he sent an obsidian dagger flying at the retreating unicorm's head.  "Bloody coward," Draco stated as he pressed on his gauntlet's as runes covered his forehooves. He gritted his teeth in pain as he felt the foreign healing energies take hold. searing his wounds shut. He panted slightly as he hated the quick healing. Now he was just running on adrenaline.

Zerra used a wing to shield her face from the sudden gust of wind and saw the spherical wind barrier around Rose's body. "Well, that's a well kept secret, but all it's going to do is prolong the inevitable. You're still going to die. Here, allow me to speed it up." She folded her wing, pulling the rope of electricity that twirled around Rose like before and forming another cage, this time ontop of the wind barrier. "Cage of Torment!"

Rose saw the electricity coming towards her and launched herself at Zerra right when it started to shock her she gritted her teeth and focused more on catching her with her own shadow, than damaging her.

Zerra watched Rose labor forward with amusement. "You can still move? Then I must be going too easy on you!" Zerra said, not realizing that the wind spell was protecting Rose from most of the electricity. Zerra curled her hoof and shot more electrical energy into the sphere around Rose, making it spark with more vigor. Some of the sparks broke through the wind barrier and electrocuted Rose.

Rose braced in agony as she crashed into Zerra. She said as she calmly started to wrap themselves together, "I would suggest that you stop with the cage, if you don't want to be fried by your own magic." She still had her sword and waited for the magic to end
