As Cosmic was running away, his ear perked as he thought he heard something being thrown. He quickly glanced behind him to see a dagger was flying at him. He narrowly dodged the dagger, but the weapon had cut a bit of his mane and grazed his cheek. He winced from the pain, but kept running. From his change in direction, the neon green unicorn didn't notice the tree that was in his path. Before he could stop, he was too late as he smacked face first into the tree. He fell to the ground and was too tired and in too much pain from past injuries to stand. "I...I won't let it end here." He muttered softly to himself. 'I can't just lose like this. I have so much potential and I was the best in my hometown. I can't lose to those, who stood up against me. This isn't fair. This just can't be happening.' He struggled to get up, before closing his eyes and promptly passed out from the pain.

Zerra holds out a hoof to block Rose when she charges at him. The cage expanded when the two touched to envelop both of them, but Zerra quickly made the electrical field disappear. The wind from Rose's barrier stung against her skin but didn't do any significant damage. The wind spell was starting to weaken.

Zerra Pushed off of Rose to gain some distance. She huffed in labored breaths trying to regain her energy.

My mistake was simple. I didn't expect her to be able to move. After I catch her in the cage again all I have to do is keep an eye on her and she won't be able to catch me again.

Zerra stepped out with her right legs and lifted her left front leg, creating a pointed blade out of electrical energy.

"We're not quite going to the arena, but back to our room... maybe grab a snack while we're there" he jokingly says. He then turns to Draco who seems fixated on chasing down Cosmic. "Do what you want with him Draco, just don't die. I'll be back at our room, patching myself up... you of all people here hit me pretty good." Frostflame sheaths his sword, and begins to walk back towards the hotel area. "So Frozen, tell me... what do you possibly have to gain out of this? Rose shifted her sword and said, "a sword battle now, this will be interesting." She knew that she had to be careful with the electricity, but she needed to wait with her magic for the right time. She held her sword with one hoof and her knife in her other.

The ebony Pegasus didn't say anything to being spared. Unless he wanted to make Snow change his mind, or to make him angry. Frozen raised an eyebrow at the little joke Snow had made. "Gee, that sounds swell. What's next? We'll be watching TV? Maybe you have a chess board, so I won't be sitting around being bored?" He rolled his eyes, before continuing. "Why does it matter? What do you hope to gain from us? You said we aren't worth much, so what do you have to gain?" He asks, being carried away by Snow, who was making his way back to the hotel room. At Snow's question, Frozen could only scoff. "What do you mean? Big Shot only told us to either capture, incapacitate, or take down anyone on your team. While the rest of the team goes on to fight in the arena." At the mention of everyone on Team Lotus being equal to each other in strength, Frozen laughed humorously. "Oh, that was a good joke." He stopped laughing, before gaining a serious look. "Do you honestly expect me to believe that Dynamo is a match for you, more so anyone on Team Lotus? Cosmic and I saw the match you all had yesterday. Sure, he had gotten stronger since we last saw him. However, he lost and it seems that he is still struggling with his magic. You're just trying to mess with me, aren't you?"

Frozen tried to glance behind him to see Cosmic, who was completely knocked out. He could only close his eyes, shake his head and sigh. "Cosmic, you fool. You could have escaped and tried to get back up. However, you panicked and tried to act without thinking. Now we're in trouble." He thought as he remembered the other teammates that were with them. 'I doubt they will try to save us. They were only hired by Big Shot and they weren't on our video game team. It looks like we're in big trouble this time.'

The diamond dog jumped out of the bushes with her sickle ready. Draco may gave forgotten by now the deadly range the weapon had and that gave her an advantage. She let out a growl but was struck in the air by a pink blur, striking her in her head and making her crash unconscious on the forest floor.

Dai landed next to her doing a hoof stand and staring up at Draco. "Geez, Draco, let me guess. You got "doesnt work or play well with others" on all your report cards, huh?"

Rose seemed to be underestimating her injuries if she thought she could use both her front hooves to fight with while balancing on her wings. That gave Zerra a clear advantage. She Sprung at Rose, becoming a yellow flash for a second before stopping on her right side and swinging down at her chest.

Rose calmly watched as Zerra disappeared and felt the static. She was barely able to deflect the sword and throw a kick at her. She knew her injuries would slow her down, but she needed more time for them to get in place

Zerra wasn't resolved to give her that time. The assassin was frustrated that Rose was still fighting after surviving her most painful technique twice. She started angrily slashing at Rose, forcing her to always be on the defensive. She was a professional and her strikes were precise and fast.

Rose started to back up, while deflecting the slashes, towards the center if the arena,where the shadows weren't and where she through up the wall, then she said, "shall we have a conversation while we fight."

With each slash Zerra made, there was a trail of electricity that lingered in the air. Zerra didn't respond to Rose's request. She just kept grunting and angrily slashing with her blade. When they were near the center, she pulled her blade back, pulling on the lingering electrical ropes that closed around Rose like a net. "Let's try this again! Cage of Torment!"

"Alright, time to be quiet for a minute." He said to Frozen, Frostflame finally made it to the more civilized areas of the forest. He tipped his hat downward to cover his eye, and said nothing as he was carrying Frozen pass the crowds of ponies. He knew they more than likely wouldn't interfere with what he was doing, after all he's the one who turned that abomination into a pancake... that, and the main bulk of the crowd was probably at the arena. He made his way into the hotel, pass the lobby and into the halls. "Well that was a lot easier than it really should of been. Had a feeling these more posh characters wouldn't care about what I was doing. Also to answer your question, we don't have a chess board, but we do have TV." Frostflame enters his room and sets Frozen down on the couch.

She gritted her teeth and surged more energy into Rose's cage. Coursing high volts of electricity through Rose's body.

"Ooh, that doesn't look pleasant!" Topaz announced. "Zerra is pumping Rose up like an overcharged car battery! I can almost smell the burning skin! I think this fight is... over! But you've just got to love it when its as painful as this!"

Jade narrowed her eyes, her wings ruffling with frustration. If it weren't for those cowards, she'd at least have weakened Zerra before Rose could come in.

"This tournament is a joke," she spat.

Rose could feel her flesh burning and that pissed her off even more. She placed her sword down into the ground, making the pain from the electricity lessen by a bit and shot up wall around Zerra, while making a lid on it.

Frozen rolled his eyes as he was ordered to be quiet by Snow. He soon could see why as he saw the crowd of ponies passing by. He deduced that it would be better to not draw any attention. He was still around and he would have any advantage that was given to him. As they had reached the lobby, Snow carried him into the hallway and walked to the hotel room. "I guess these posh characters only care about money and power. They could care less about who is involved with such affairs within this tournament." He says in response to Snow's remark. As they entered the room, the ebony Pegasus was placed upon the couch. He flared his nostrils and scoffed at the suggestion. "Unless you have anime, then I'll pass. The only thing on would be the tournament, so why bother? Your former team is going to lose, anyway." He turns his attention to Snow, while trying to get comfortable on the couch. "You still didn't answer my earlier question. Why do you have such confidence in that team? I even told you everything on how I feel about the punching bag. What makes you think he could be a match for you, or even anyone else on Team Lotus? Answer me that and maybe I'll talk."

Dynamo couldn't help, but nod in agreement. He narrowed his eyes as his leg bounced in anticipation. "I know what you mean. If it weren't for this committee wanting to make the rules, then we would have a good chance in this round. They just want to find any way to exploit us and make us lose. If it weren't for all of these rules, then I'd be out there fighting with all I've got. I know I was eliminated, but I don't care." He watched as Rose managed to lessen the damage with her sword. He could see the effects of the wind lessening more and more. "This isn't good. She needs to finish this match and fast. Sure, the wind making sure she can still fight, but still. That spell wasn't intended to last very long. I just hope she can find a way around that ridiculous lighting barrier."

Tricis looked at her student with concern. Just like what happened to him. They've been so similar so far. Will she react like he did when strength wasn't enough?

Zerra looked up at the cage of shadows forming around both of them while Rose herself was in a smaller cage of electrical energy. The light coming off of the Cage of Torment was the only thing that allowed the two of them to see with its radiant yellow glow.

"So you want to die faster then? You could barely handle this technique when you were in top physical form! I see what you're doing, dipping into your life energy, trying to at least make this contest a draw? It won't make a bit of difference! You're still going to die!" Zerra curved her hoof and increased the flow of electricity as strong as she could make it. The pain became unbearable .

Rose wasn't able to think, but she allowed her instincts to kick in. Her shadow grew until it was pushing against the cage and she said, "You think that playing dirty be shocking me over and over will guarantee a victory, but if I go down, you will come with me."

That, or those that take too much obsession in one show or another. That form of entertainment is both a waste of time and beneath ponies like me." He says, leaning back against the couch. He couldn't help in raising a curious eyebrow at Snow. "You have faith in them? You know, you could always just run away. If the one's who are hunting for you can't find you. Then you can still live out your life. You're an assassin of sorts, right? You just move from place to place and get a good disguise. It's fool proof." He chuckled as he listened to Snow's explanation. "You, the great Snow Frostflame, can't do things on his own? You seem like the type of pony to go it alone. Why rely on the strength of others. You can only go so far with one's help. That's just relying on kindness and friendship. Just like Cosmic said. It's a waste of time and it won't make much of a difference." He says, a cold look ever present in his eyes. "Average adventurer?" He raised an eyebrow once more in confusion. "Who are you talking about? If you mean Dynamo and the others, then you must be kidding. What makes you think they possess some great power that can make a difference? Would you even say such a thing if you weren't under this curse as you put it?" He didn't know what Snow was talking about, but he supposed he could humor the pony sitting across from him.

"Sorry, Rose, but dying isnt in my plans!" Zerra said as she tightened her stance. The surging cage around Rose started to shrink, compressing the shadow inside.

Rose thought about her predicament and was glad that she made the shadow. As long as it doesn't touch her, she won't get hurt anymore. She laid down and started to shrink the barrier surrounding them, to push her closer
