Frostflame's ears perked up and glanced towards Tricis. "As much as I want to teach this whelp a lesson he'll not forget, I object! As I stated I don't care for anyone's life nor do I believe any of you care for mine, but we need each other if we're to leave this place with our heads still attached to our bodies. All this will cause is one less fighter, or a rivalry amongst our ranks. We don't have to like each other, so long as we can all work towards a common goal, wealth and freedom."

As he left the room with Tricis and Jade, Dynamo thought he had faintly heard Frostflame's outburst. His ears dropped slightly as he shook his head. 'If only you knew. I may not know you or anyone else, but I care for your life, Frostflame. I try to give anyone the benefit of the doubt and try to be a friend. Only if they are mean spirited is when I say otherwise.' He thought as he remembered the look that Draco had on his face. He furrowed his eyebrows and closed his eyes briefly, before opening his eyes and looking forward. 'Maybe in time he'll understand. It's good to keep your friends close and enemies closer, but I just want friends who can accept me for who I am.' He knew he made a good impression, but he guess that it didn't matter to some. He would just have to keep fighting and do the best he could, no matter what.

"Alright, fans, it's the final matchup of the preliminaries!" Topaz announced to a full stadium of fans. She was standing in the center of the ring with one hoof raised high. "Three teams shave been gruesomely eliminated so far and only one more team can advance to the next round!" She pointed to the large doors on the left side of the stadium, and they slowly started to open. "In this corner, we have Team Cleave!"

It took them some time, but Dynamo and the others had finally made it back to the arena. His ears perked as he could hear the voice of Topaz, who was announcing the final match for the first round. He looked around and was able to find a few available seats for Tricis, Jade and himself. As he sat down, the blue unicorn looked to the left side as one of the teams emerged. "I guess you were right when you said some of the matches were mismatched, coach. I just wonder how this fight will play out." He says as he awaited for the second team to appear in the stadium.

As the door opened out came a pair of diamond dogs one female the other male. Their coloring were dark blue with grey spots going along their face and back, the male had a sword the size of a two earth ponies stacked together. Dragging it along the ground behind him he lifted it with one paw letting it come to rest down on his shoulder. The Female had a large double bladed battle axe on her back, the handle dragged the ground being just as large as the male's. A pair of dragons came out of the shadows standing roughly 5 foot tall each, both male. The one on the left was green with red specks along his snout, the other was black with bandages around his eyes revealing he was without sight.

Finally coming out from behind them was a small unicorn mare, she was clad in a light red robe that covered up her frail body. Looking a bit out of place among the large creatures next to her. Walking ahead of the others she climbed up into the ring walking over to the center "I am the captain." she said in a small voice

Behind the other door Arid appeared to his team, he smiled at them before looking at Canteen who was still in the stolen robe and fuzzy slippers. "Now I know you are bored and tend to do as you please Canteen...however I want you to do whatever you wish out there if you wish to eliminate everyone by yourself do it..if you wish to just sleep in the ring then do it. I will ask you take one other member with you and show the other teams what we are made of....Plus I know for a fact this Grandma will be watching so..I am sure you wish to show off to her."

Canteen yawned before tilting his head...looking at Arid he reached out grabbing him before turning and flinging him towards a wall. Arid turned and landed on his hooves against the wall before dropping to the ground grinning "I see you are moody again...Go Canteen burn off some of that energy you have pent up."

Canteen began chuckling seeing Arid able to not slam into the wall "Very well...Aiden come along we are going to have some fun." he said as a 4 foot tall dragon began to walk over to Canteen, his scales being a dark purple almost black color as his eyes were a light pink coloring "Alright."

Jade stood with her team as Team Cleave walked out into the arena. It had been a long time since she had seen Diamond Dogs outside of a mine.

Her wings fluttered when she got a look at the dragons. She had always wanted to fight a dragon, especially a fully-grown one. Perhaps this would be her chance.

Though, the last one, a Unicorn, made her curious. She looked like a small breeze would knock her over, but maybe there was more to her than it seemed?

Dynamo watched as Team Cleave had made their appearance. He raised an eyebrow in surprise and curiosity on the ones that made up the team. He had to admit that this team was made up of interesting creatures. 'I wouldn't have expect diamond dogs and dragons to be on the same team together, but I'm not one to judge. It's also interesting to see some dragons working alongside the others. I guess since Ember is the Dragon Lord, the relationship between dragons and ponies have gotten better.' He thought as the unicorn mare climbed into the ring. He frowned slightly as she spoke, while looking somewhat frail. "I can understand how they are named Team Cleave. I just wonder if this mare's frailness is real, or if it's a facade to underestimate her opponents." He spoke his thoughts out loud, while looking over to Jade and Tricis to see what they thought.

"You do know I'm old enough to be your father, right?" Frostflame said in a rhetorical tone "I don't like you, though at least I make an attempt to work as a team. You can't seem to go more than five minutes without insulting me, not only that but you lack cooperation skills, and you are arrogant, very very arrogant." Frostflame said, while pulling up a chair. "As for getting out, I've ventured all across Equestria, and even a bit beyond, as for you judging by your character this is probably your first time away from home. I could go on for hours telling stories of my adventures, but someone of your taste probably doesn't care too much." Frostflame puts his hat on the table, along with his sword. "We're probably gonna be here awhile, so tell me what is your problem?"

He then points to Canterlot "I'm pretty sure everyone has gone there at one point in their lives. That is where I learned the ways of magic, though I never went to Celestia's school, I was poor and went to a smaller magic school. It was built by my great great grandfather, a master blacksmith, and enchanted by my great grandmother." Frostflame glances over the map again, and points to the Forbidden Jungle, and the Badlands "These places are arguably more dangerous than the Everfree, one is full of infectious bugs, poisonous animals, and other dangers. While the other is a hot spot for dragons, though both of 'em are ripe with treasure if you know where to look, and who to sell to." Frostflame says as he pulls a small ruby from his satchel. "Let's see, I've also been here, here, here, here, and there" He says as he points to the remaining major cities in Equestria. "Nothing too special comes to mind, Las Pegasus is a death trap for your coin, while Manehatten is a nice tourist trap. As for where I haven't gone" He points to the Dragon Lair, the land of Griffonstone, and Yakyakistan. "Not many opportunities in those places, and I'm not looking to get eaten by a dragon, no matter how tempting it is to steal their treasures." Frostflame then points at the South Luna Ocean "Lots of uncharted islands there, perfect places to hunt for treasure... or build a vacation home." He jokingly says.

The door opened only for Canteen to come walking out with Aiden, still in his slippers he crawled into the ring walking over to Topaz taking off his robe "Hi can you hold this for me? I dont want blood on it...and be careful with it I stole it from Shining Armor." he said kicking off his slippers he walked over to the unicorn and moved his head to the side "Aww this is just adorable. Team Cleave and you have big fancy cleaving weapons...I just got that."

"Where are the rest of your team?" the mare said as she looked behind Canteen seeing no one else come from the door "It seems they got lost coming here or didnt want to fight." she began to remove her robe showing she was wearing leather straps on her legs carrying a dagger in them. She was as frail as she appeared. She had on skirt that came down to her hunches as her top was a simple white blouse "What do you agree on for fights? I was going to suggest one on one however you may end up losing because there are only two of you."

Sorta losing interest in the mare he looked around the stadium waving at audience members as he leaned back looking at some of them "Ha there are so many here, wonder if grandma is watching..." he saw they were being recorded and dashed off to the camera taking it in his hooves he talked into it "GRANDMAAAAA CAN YOU SEE ME?! WATCH THIS BECAUSE AFTER THIS I MAY BE COMING TO KILL YOU! That is if I am not too tired or bored by the end of this." he released the camera before going back to the mare "Hmm fight? Oh right right...your team's execution. Um 5 on 2 will be fine. Got told to have fun do what I want and if I lost I lost." he walked away from the mare over to Aiden

Aiden looked at Canteen being weird, waving at the audience, yelling into the camera. Hearing it will be 5 on 2 he smirked at the other team seeing all of them fully "This will be a nice fun challenge. And to test myself against other dragons finally." he cracked his knuckles as his tail went up and slammed back onto the tiles cracking them "I'll take the two dragons Canteen, the others are for you...seeing I know you will grow bored otherwise. Now remember Canteen Arid said do what you wish so if you want to kill all of them do so...long as you have fun."

She was confused and a little unnerved. Not only were Team Crimos severely outnumbered, but they seemed to be pleased about it.

"Either they're foolish, or they're really that good," she muttered, and blinked as Canteen went around waving and screaming.

"Give me a break. It's just a cheap intimidation technique." Tricis said, sitting next to Jade in the stands. Her eyes narrowed at Canteen when he called her out. "It's unfortunate that I can't make good on his promise. He's not the pony who's going to be killing me."

Topaz waited for seven fighters to take their places in the ring. "I don't know what it is with some of these teams not showing up with all their members, but it looks like this is going to be five on two! Aiden and Canteen versus team Cleave! Begin!"

Dynamo nodded at Jade's remark as he watched the other team make their appearance in the ring. He raised an eyebrow as only two members of Team Crimos had shown up. He had a sense of deja vu as the leader of team Crimos entered the ring. The blue unicorn watched as Canteen was still in his pajamas and was acting strange. 'It's as if he's acting like a child. What is this guy's deal, anyway?' He thought as he mentioned of ending some grandma. He glanced over to Tricis and had to assume that Canteen was referring to her. 'Does this guy have some issue with the coach? I'm just concerned on how this guy wants to battle. He doesn't even seem worried at all.'

Dynamo looked to Jade and gave her a look of concern. "This really does seem familiar. Remember in yesterday's match with Team Rokata? They only had a few members, but they destroyed their opponents." He sighed as he felt a sudden chill run down his spine. "I guess we'll be getting a repeat performance."

Dynamo didn't say anything at first as Tricis talked about Canteen's team. "Whatever the case may be, it feels as if those two don't care about the difference in numbers. It seems like they'll make up for it with strategy, teamwork and power." He looked to Tricis with a look of surprise as she talked about someone else putting an end to her. "Why would someone want to take your life, coach? If it's not this Canteen guy, then who? Is there a reason and is there a way to avoid this?" He wasn't expecting an answer since it seemed like private information. The blue unicorn could only wonder what he had gotten himself into, but ignored it for now. For now, he watched as the match was about to begin.

Hearing Canteen the mare blinked looking at her team then back at him "O...Kay?" she moved back as she looked at the male diamond dog "Take care of him will you Virgil?" she smiled softly at him as she looked back at Canteen "Take him out, show him we are not to be treated as if we were nothing more then an inconvenience."

Looking at the unicorn he nodded, Virgil picked his sword up as he began to walk towards Canteen. Getting there he just looked down at him "You are going to regret this, boss lady says you have to go...you go." he began to raise his sword up as he went to strike he stopped as Canteen held a hoof up

"WAIT...this thing isnt working correctly." he began fiddling with his inhaler as the sword was there just inches above his head being held as Virgil was a bit confused "Ah there we go..." he inhaled deeply from the inhaler before taking another one shortly after "Ah...yes there.." he looked over as he saw Aiden looking at him pointing up "Huh?" looking up at the sword above him "Oh..yes right. I should probably let you get back to your attack..carry on I wont try anything funny take another whack at me."

The mare and the others on team cleave were just watching Canteen. They were confused as well why Virgil didnt attack him when had the chance. "This isnt the time to be courtesy Virgil..." the mare said before turning her attention to the two dragons there "Go deal with that other one. End this fast before something bad happens. Just a bad feeling."



The green walked towards Aiden, standing a good foot above him he sucked in air before breathing onto his hands. Unknown to others he had summoned forth a force weapon, it was two swords that dealt not only cutting to someone but the force behind them could knock someone clear away. Rushing towards Aiden he swung his hands as if holding something, next thing was seen blood splatter onto the ground as Aiden flew across the arena.

Hitting the ground after the attack he slowly got up seeing a slice across his stomach another along his chest "Hmph I see, your breath weapon..." he rushed across the arena towards the green dragon as they began to swing at each other, the ground began to crack under them as their fists connected again and again. Below them the ground finally cratered as their fists just were going non-stop. Finally Aiden and him stopped their fists pressing against each other "Not bad, and here I thought you were just going to rely on your breath weapon. However this has been over since the moment we connected our fists." he looked at him before chuckling "If I were to use my real strength I would have shattered your arms, I suppose though the warm up is over shall we continue?"


As the fight between Aiden and the green dragon went on Canteen was focused on it "Ha Aiden you know you shouldnt toy with that guy, it may build up his confidence." as he was talking, Virgil had swung again down at Canteen. The ground exploded outwards from the force of the attack as pieces of the ring went everywhere as a cloud was surrounding the impact zone

"All talk, like I knew." Virgil said as he took in a deep breath and blew the cloud out of the way to see what remained of Canteen. He blinked looking as Canteen was sitting on the back of his sword now without a scratch

"I told you wouldn't do anything just moved some. Come on try again use both hands." he got down off the sword as Virgil picked it up Canteen smirked some as his moves were almost god like speed

As Virgil growled he grabbed his sword with both hands beginning to swing again and again at Canteen, for such a large weapon he was swinging it with incredible speed and force. However Canteen was just avoiding the hits easily.

"Come now...this cant be all you can do." Canteen moved out of the way of the sword with ease as to him the sword was almost standing still. If someone did figure out his power it was from his inhaler, it formed a field around him that when something went through it would be slowed for him, almost to the point of a snail. He could do what he needed to in the time however to everyone else it would appear he was moving with the speed of lightning or faster. Finally he dodged an attack as he leapt up his left hoof came up bashing into Virgil's chin, a crack was hard as Canteen twisted in the air landing on the back of Virgil's sword standing on two hooves "You bore me...it's why I shattered your Jaw."

I should probably let you get back to your attack..carry on I wont try anything funny take another whack at me."

The mare and the others on team cleave were just watching Canteen. They were confused as well why Virgil didnt attack him when had the chance. "This isnt the time to be courtesy Virgil..." the mare said before turning her attention to the two dragons there "Go deal with that other one. End this fast before something bad happens. Just a bad feeling."

As the match got underway, Vergil moved in to attack Canteen first. Dynamo was surprised as the attack came to an abrupt halt, while Canteen asked Vergil to stop to use his inhaler. 'Why in the world did he even stop his attack. He should have continued and given himself an advantage. It's understandable that there should be honor. However, it seems like this tournament doesn't like honor or respect. Is this Canteen guy acting like he's some kind of comic book character?' He thought as the green dragon went to attack Aiden.

As the fight between Aiden and the green dragon went on Canteen was focused on it "Ha Aiden you know you shouldnt toy with that guy, it may build up his confidence." as he was talking, Virgil had swung again down at Canteen. The ground exploded outwards from the force of the attack as pieces of the ring went everywhere as a cloud was surrounding the impact zone

Dynamo was slightly surprised, yet amazed that the green dragon created a force weapon from his fire breath. He watched as he actually scored a direct hit on Aiden. "So, it seems that they can be damaged. It's nice to see that aren't invincible." His eyebrows furrowed as he had a bad sense of foreboding. 'Why did it feel like Aiden was hit intentionally by that attack? Was he trying to see what his opponent could do?' He thought as Aiden made it back to the ring, before fighting the green dragon in close quarters. The blue unicorn watched as the attacks were non stop, while the ground shook from their relentless assault. It seemed as if neither side wanted to give an inch in this fight. His eyes widened slightly, before his eyes narrowed at Aiden's response. "So, he was just warming up in that whole fight? He could even break that dragon's arms? I wonder how much strength this guy even has." Dynamo looked back to the fight between Vergil and Canteen. He was surprised as Vergil's attacks weren't quick enough to land a hit against Canteen. Each attack was precise, yet nothing was working. He winced slightly as he could see and hear Canteen land a hit and broke Vergil's jaw. "How can someone be that quick? I didn't even blink and he just dodged or teleported. He may be random, but he has the power to back up his claim. I didn't think he'd go that far in breaking Vergil's jaw like that." He was stunned by the brutality, but knew this is what the tournament was all about. He couldn't help, but wonder if his magic would be enough to take on Canteen.

Jade was able to keep up with Canteen's lightning-fast strike, thanks to her years of training.

"He definitely prioritises speed," she mused to her teammates, "so perhaps he's not so physically strong. Easy to defeat if you can catch him."

Watching Virgil being made a fool of the female diamond dog rushed into the battle, as she did she grabbed her axe swinging it having the blade drag along the ground and up at Canteen. She heard a clang though as the sword of the male. Canteen had jumped on the sword using it as a defense against the axe, she growled before hooking her blade on the sword before bringing it up along with her axe. As it did she kicked Canteen hard who was a bit in awe by her brute strength...

As Canteen hit the ground he rolled along the area coming to rest at the edge. Getting up he had blood just coming from his mouth as a smile formed on his face "Oh...that hurt..I should repay you." he pulled his inhaler up taking in another breath before rushing across the area

Aiden heard growling from the green dragon who rushed him, punching him in the face hard Aiden stood there. The blow was powerful enough to send a force through the arena cracking the stone behind him towards the edge "Is that it? Such high hopes for this tournament to test my skills.." he raised his right arm up his claws sinking into the chin of the dragon upwards into his mouth. Gripping his hand he looked at the green dragon "I've had enough of you...I'll let you live with this injury...let it remind you of me and allow the pain to make you suffer for your failure." he pulled his hand down as the dragon fell to the ground bleeding out through his mouth, he shook in pure pain as he was unable to scream in pain

Looking at the dragon with the blindfold Aiden just walked over to him "I see you are without sight, however I bet you are far more entertaining." he readied himself before feeling a sting as he suddenly fell to his left knee. The blind dragon had struck him with 10 fast strikes that had energy around them. From his breath weapon having wrapped around his hands forming small punching daggers.

"You are strong..." he bowed some as the blind dragon picked up Aiden and began to walk off with him "I am done miss." he said to the mare before leaving the ring "I shall see to the wounded as well this one...interests me." he dropped out of the ring using his tail to carry the green dragon off to be patched up

Canteen got back to the diamond dogs and moving in between their attacks finally he had finally gotten the two dogs to attack each other. They dropped to the ground bleeding as their weapons were in each other. Walking over to the mare he smirked at her "How about you quit...or I'm going to break your horn off and carve my name into your back and make you regret not quitting...besides you are a little cute so perhaps we could...return to my room and chat?" he grinned as the mare was a bit heistant before nodding "Fine..from your speed I couldnt keep up anyways."

The ending of the fight was met with bewilderment from onlookers. One of team Crimos was taken to the infirmary by a member of team Cleave and then the captain of team Cleave forfeited  due to Canteen's strange powers.

"Wow... can I just say wow?" Topaz announced, standing between the two diamond dog corpses. "That may have been another short match, but when you have splitting moves like that, a little goes a long way! Of course the winner, and final team to advance to round two, is team Crimos!" 

 

Tricis spoke loudly enough for Dynamo and Jade to hear her over the sounds of the crowd. "Dynamo, you should find Rose and get her back to the hotel with the others." She said to Pad, ignoring his earlier question. "I'm going to speak with Jade briefly and get back with you. Hopefully, frost and draco haven't resorted to killing each other already in the room, but we should check on them soon. Tonight will be a good time to prepare, but we should also rest soon so we can wake up early tomorrow."

As the battle had come to a close, Dynamo couldn't believe what had just happened. He watched as Aiden had brutally taken down the green dragon without a second thought. However, he didn't expect the blind dragon to bring Aiden to his knees. He noticed that the blind dragon picked up Aiden and the other dragon, before walking away. 'I guess that even Team Crimos can have their weaknesses. They are threatening like Team Rokata, but they can at least be damaged.' He felt somewhat relieved, but he was still bothered that he didn't know much of Aiden's abilities. Hopefully, he'd get a chance to learn later on throughout the tournament. He knew that his team would need to be on the lookout for this team. The blue unicorn noticed Canteen, who had taken another breath of his inhaler and went to work with the diamond dogs. "I wonder if that inhaler is the power source. It's just a theory, but any idea can help." He muttered, before seeing both diamond dogs taking each other out. He couldn't believe he outsmarted the diamond dogs, but he knew better than that. Canteen's speed was incredible, so it only made sense that he could knock his opponents out. As the unicorn mare surrendered, Dynamo couldn't blame her. With the way Canteen and Aiden fought, it felt like the two of them weren't even trying.

His ears perked as Tricis had gained his and Jade's attention. As the coach requested him to find Rose, he nods and got up from his seat. "You've got it, coach. I'm not entirely sure where Rose went off to, but I'll make sure to find her as soon as I can. I'll meet you and Jade back at the hotel room." He nods, before running off so he would avoid the retreating crowd. As he was running through the tunnel that lead back to the main building, he started to think of where Rose would be at. 'This place is ginormous, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to cover every place. It really all depends on where Rose would want to be at.' He thought as he went towards the bar first. He knew it probably wasn't her ideal place to be, but the whole team met up at the bar the previous night. So, it would be a good starting point.

Jade was a little concerned about Canteen and his strange abilities. She would have to take some time to think of how to fight him.

She overheard Tricis's request to speak to her and nodded.

Canteen was still in the ring, though he could leave at any moment. Tricis was watching him while talking to Jade.

"I never asked you about your old teacher, Jade. You think of him very highly." She said.

Someone entered the bar behind Dynamo. Although at first, he wouldn't notice, he soon got that feeling again. The same one from earlier this morning when he saw team Rokata.

"If I can be of any kind of help." He heard a male voice say behind him. It was a voice he hadn't heard before. Rail was standing behind him, the tall unicorn was dressed in a black suit. Behind him, he saw Selene, still dressed in the same robes and head cover that she wore when she fought yesterday. "Dynamo Pad, I'm a big fan."

While Rose was focussed on seeing how long she could keep her shadow dome up for, she suddenly found it much easier. It was as if something was helping her.

Rose shoved her clone against the wall and snapped a glowstick while shaking her wing. She was almost  out of magic, but now it felt like the drain slowed down. When her clone came at her. She flung her wing to launch the knife through it's head. It stuck there for a few seconds,  then the clone melted  into it's surroundings.Then she dropped the wall while picking the knife up, and started looking  around her surroundings

When her dome went down, she saw an earth pony with scraggly grey hair. He was very short, but there was a monolithic shadow creature behind him, making him seem much more imposing. The shape of the creature was beyond description, constantly changing. It was a vacuum of light, making it stand out even against the dark background of the forest as the darkest black conceivable. That creature had been aiding her dome. 

Rose felt that same sensation she felt earlier when team Rokata first appeared. Something in her body that was able to sense what she was dealing with telling her she has no hopes of fighting him, at least not in her current state.

"I would have expected your father to be invited here," he said in a dark, slightly nasally voice. "I suppose he was simply afraid. Old men are always waiting to die."
