Last night was Mickey Mouse 90th anniversary Spectacular and this got me thinking that why not bring a discussion here? since I'm familiar there's plenty of disney fans out there.

Walt Disney as you know, was the creator of Mickey Mouse, it was become a huge success that it gave Mr. Disney a chance to finally build one of the famous animation company, known as Disney.  I haven't give much thought to this Mickey mouse 90th anniversary, until I realized that without Mickey Mouse there won't be Disney. However, We must give a huge applause to the real wizard behind the curtain, Mr. Walt Disney himself!  Without him we would never experiences this animation enlightenment that fills our head with wild imaginations.  Mr Walt Disney, the  man of dreams  gave us this character Mickey mouse, which brings out everyone's inner child.

So I want  leave with this,

When was your first encounter with Mickey mouse or Disney in general? How was experiences?  What is the favorite moment that involved with disney? Ever been to Disney world/land? what's your favorite moment there? Favorite movie, First disney product?  Ect ect, This thread is here to discuss just about anything you want or shared experiences that involve with Mickey mouse or about Disney in general.

Note: Please no negative discussion here, we all aware there is a ugly side within the company but this is not what we're here for. (unless you feel it's necessary but again,  we are here as a celebration of Walt Disney/ Mickey mouse's anniversary.

When was your first encounter with Mickey mouse or Disney in general?

I've known Disney longer than I can actually remember, so the exact first encounter is lost to time

How was experiences?

Magical

What is the favorite moment that involved with disney?
I'm such a Disney Dork that it's impossible to narrow it down to one, best I will say the best parts of Disney is the animated stuff and theme parks

Ever been to Disney world/land?

I'm an Annual Passholder for Disneyland in California and been to WDW in Florida twice in my life.

what's your favorite moment there?

In Florida, it was the unique attractions you can't get in California such as the Beast's Castle and Enchanted Tales with Belle. In all parks, my favorite attraction is the Haunted Mansion, especially the Nightmare Before Christmas around the holidays in California

Favorite movie,

Too many to list. But I love "Beauty and the Beast"

First disney product?

A Lion King Theme holder for cassette tapes and books to read along with.

Bold text in Quote are my responses to the questions.

Wait, there was an anniversary special that I missed? :(

Sadly to say, yes. It was aired yesterday on ABC. I think if you go to their website they might have a video of it in case people missed it.

My first encounter with Mickey was when I was very little, watching his short cartoons. I can't remember the specifics because it was so long ago. My first exposure to Disney in general was probably watching the old Wonderful World of Disney reruns and a short film about Disney World I saw in school in second grade.

I have been to Disneyland more times than I can count and I consider it my true home and Happy Place. I've been to Walt Disney World six times now, as of last May. My favorite moment at Disneyland was meeting Cinderella when I was six years old on my very first visit. It was life changing. My favorite at WDW was just seeing the scope of it the first time, even though there were some memorable dining experiences at Be Our Guest and at Epcot.

First Disney product was probably my first Minnie Ears, but I'm not sure. There are so many little things over the years.

My favorite Disney movie is a tie between Beauty and the Beast, and Tangled. They're not only my favorite Disneys, but favorite movies overall.

Disney has been a huge part of life and I literally wouldn't be who I am without it. It's hard to place a value on that or put it into words. I'm glad that this thread isn't about Disney-bashing (which I too am often guilty) because there is a lot of good that has come from it. And Walt himself is one of my greatest heroes.

Well. Today's the official 90th Birthday of Mickey Mouse.

As a kid back in the 80's I was a huge Mickey Mouse fan. I was introduced to it when they were airing classic Disney stuff on network TV with these specials and whatnot. Not to mention with the release of various "Cartoon Classics" shorts on VHS, I learned to enjoy them even more. And it doesn't stop at just Mickey, I also enjoyed Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip N Dale, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, etc.  I've been to Disneyland a few times too. I even got to meet Mickey Mouse himself there, that was perhaps the greatest moment of my Disney fandom.

Mickey Mouse will always be a part of my nostalgia.

Happy 90th Birthday Mickey!
