books H.P. Lovecraft hated writing?

I heard somewhere on the Internet that H.P. Lovecraft didn't like writing. Why would he write if he didn't like writing?

No clue, might as well ask him when afterlife comes along.  But I for one, hate writing but if it's creative writing than I'd prefer that. So I guess he might have the same response.

That's most likely false, the only relevant search result you get when you google "Did H.P Lovecraft hate writing" is this thread.

A lot of writers hate the whole process of writing. But they have a story they want to get out and of course they want to make a living.
