Things that probably won't happen at all on the show

After seeing all the synopsises for the entire first half of Season 9, we should admit that there are some things that probably won't ever happen at all on the show.

What are your ideas that you thought could've happened but probably won't at all at this rate?

We will probably never learn about Spike nor Applejack's parents. It leaves the door open for fanfics, but unless something drastic happens it'll probably be an unsolvable mystery.

Where from? We've only gotten up to Episode 10 from Equestria Daily. I also like the use of "some things". Let's face it. Even things the brony fandom has predicted and gotten right through pieces of fan art and fanfiction have never happened the way they would've expected or at least wanted in the show.

I don't believe in fan fiction at all anymore 'cause to me, fanfic is just useless garbage. And actually, we just got synopsises for episodes 11-13, with everypony BUT Pinkie Pie getting at least one episode. ☹️

Any form of gay relationship. Obviously I would love for this to happen in a proper way and it would be wonderful to see, but it simply will not happen. Never thought it would happen and it never will now.

You know what else will never happen? Best pone returning. Who would that be? Friggin STAR TRACKER. I want to see him one more time at least.

- An explanation of how the Cutie Map actually works. It's essentially acted as a dictating force for the M6's (and Starlight and Spike now, for some reason) adventures for four seasons and yet the majority of its workings remain enigmatic (which only reveals its true status as a plot utility/contrivance even further) - how does it decide which ponies to send, how can it summon Spike and Starlight if they're not connected to the Elements, why can't the M6 defy it in any form (I understand that they view the map as an authority over themselves, but what exactly was preventing Twilight from joining at least one of the S5 missions if her insistence was so recurrent?) and how does it decide which problems to solve (considering that the number of 'friendship problems' in the show's universe must be immense despite the three or so 'map episodes' that occur per season)?

- The fate and identity of Spike's parentage, presumably because the writers suspected that an episode exploring those issues would be too thematically close to Father Knows Beast. Which ultimately ended in a cop-out. 

- Cadance's backstory. Yes, I know, Crystal Heart Spell, but whether or not the Berrow novels are canon is debatable. 

- For that matter, Cadance development beyond being a mother or alicorn princess. What are her interests? How does she spend her free time? What are her hopes and ambitions? How has the show not even scratched the surface of this in the seven seasons of her existence?

- The fate of AJ's parents, although I suspect that territory (dealing with death) would be a necessary topic for the show to tackle, and Tanks for the Memories (the closest example I can recall to handling this topic) danced around the issue despite being structured to laser-focus onto it. 

- An episode focused on Limestone or Marble, which is somewhat of a shame given the show's surprisingly impressive characterization of Maud from her genesis as (mostly) a gag character in S4. In particular, an episode showcasing a day in the life of the Pie family, while extremely unlikely to occur, would be an amusing way to convey Limestone and Marble development (particularly if they went to town with Marble as a silent character for comedy).

- A resolution to Babs Seed's character arc, whom the writers presumably forgot about during S4 before awkwardly shunting her off the radar during S5. Potential character development beyond 'an introverted foal with a Brooklyn accent' would also be interesting, albeit improbable at this late stage.

I love a lot of things about the backstory in that book and would be sad if it were retconned, so I almost hope we don't get anything in the show itself.

Humans in Equestria.  Thanks Equestria Girls for making it impossible for humans to be in Equestria.

I would say LGBT representation probably wouldn't happen in the show, but than I remember RollerCoaster of Friendship, which honestly makes me think that Rarity and Applejack becoming a couple is like an actual possibility.  Maybe not super explicitly, but I could see either the EQG or FiM finale heavily hinting that they became a couple, and having them be confirmed as a canon couple by the show staff.

Let me stop your right there. Why is it the biggest thing if Pinkie doesn't get an episode? She obviously isn't being neglected there are just other things the writers want to focus on then the pink pony for this time being.
