Why is everyone so worried/offended? Nobody is going to sneak into your house and make you watch it. Personally, it looks pretty lame to me. They should have went with Flash instead of CGI. I plan on watching the first episode, but if I don't like it, I don't mind if it stays on the air. Little ones will probably enjoy it. That's all that really counts.

I watched a full episode of the new show, and it sucks. The animation is bad, the plot was ok at best, and the voice acting made me want to beat a baby seal to death. Trust me, even if they were actually trying to do it, Care Bears will NOT overtake MLP.

 

I'll just ignore the show. The only part that I find annoying is that they took MLP's running time to put up the premier, meaning I get one less episode on Saturday mornings.

I doubt it has anything to do with bronies. It would have come out anyways even if we didn't exist. And I know that they will not try to push it like they do with MLP unless they notice we like it. And I dunno bout that happening, but I'm okay with just MLP

Okay, as one who was a fan of BOTH, MLP of the 1980s and also fan of Care Bears, Rainbow Brite and so forth, the three shows have never in the past tried to out do each other. Because the fans were all watching it at the same time as watching MLP, so they're not trying to rip each other, they are two separate things...that's all. Watch it if you like, but remember MLP and Care Bears have similar lessons and also have had fans who crossed from both.

 

I started out as a Rainbow Brite fan before I was a fan of MLP, but MLP won me over due to story back then and now. MLP has one thing that Care Bears doesn't, variety, there are variety of characters, cutie marks and so forth. Care Bears lacks the variety.

MLP is the same, but on that day (dunno if its continuing like that) Care Bears takes up the 8am slot, so we only see one episode of ponies at 8:30

This. So this. I did check out the show and the pilot sucked, but I do hope it improves as it goes along. So far it suffers from a total lack of purpose. Unlike the original, it's not apparent what these bears are here for. Why are they gigantic? Why is there home no longer in the clouds? Why is there no explanation as to how a child gets picked to play in Care-A-Lot? Why aren't the children at all suprised by the appearance of jelly bean colored bears? So many questions.
