Heehee, that's not Ahuizotl. That's ShadOZotl. That's my MLPsona.

It's just me, but drawn as an ahuizotl, which is a creature from Aztec mythology. Here's a side by side:

Ignore Ahui's arm and eye. That's a version of him from my NextGen verse.

Nah, nothing unique. She just has the regular ahuizotl species abilities: Swimming, holding her breath for a long time, and super strength.

Celestia is actually my favorite! But Ahuizotl is right up there next to her. X3

I think it’s a combination of things. For one, he’s such a unique creature to have in modern media. Especially CHILDREN’S media. Aztec mythology just isn’t as touched upon as say, Greek. The only other franchise I can think of that has ahuizotls is Dungeons & Dragons.

Ahuizotl himself is really fun for me. He’s super loud, dramatic, and over the top. He’s crazy strong, pushing trees over like toothpicks. He’s got a fun and strange design; like a combo of jaguar, dog, and gorilla, with blue fur, hand-tail, elongated skull and HUGE teeth.

I love his Spanish accent and his ability to turn off the maniacal laughter for a sec to have sassy, flirty dialogues with his arch nemesis, Daring Do. And I love that he’s a sucker for cats.

i just love the big blue ham.

Seafood, DEFINITELY. Favorite fish is salmon. Favorite crustacean is crab. I have a real soft spot for Italian, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisine!
