movies/tv Have you ever had a movie's ending spoiled by others?

I’ve had books and TV shows spoiled, but very rarely movies unless I’m directly looking for spoilers. I let myself read Detective Pikachu spoilers, for instance.

Yeah, usually by a headline as I'm flipping through suggested articles on my browser which is super annoying.

The one that immediately comes to mind is the death of Gus from A Fault in Our Stars which oddly enough, was spoiled for me by movie goers before I had finished the book. One of the few times I've left one of those unfinished and I didn't even go to see the movie after.

I had the fact that Iron Man died in Endgame spoiled for me.

Same. But I was never interested in the movie to begin with so it didn't phase me.

I had the Movie Winnetou spoiled for me, i guess someone expected me to know what happens to Winnetou because here in germany it might have been a known thing, but i didnt know at the time, since i didnt care for the Winnetou franchise until 2016.

I also got Avengers Endgame spoiled for me, because people literally posted the ending of the movie as gifs everywhere, thanks. :okiedokieloki:

I also got the Mlp Movie spoiled for me, but since i didnt liked that film all that much anyway, it wasnt that bad in hindsight.

The Last Jedi is the only movie in the Sequel Trilogy I wasn't spoiled by. I was spoiled about

Spoiler

Han Solo dying

in the Force Awakens the day after it came out, because of a meme. I also saw the image of

Spoiler

Kylo and Rey holding blue lightsabers

in Rise of Skywalker 2 months before it came out because of r/FiftyFifty, but I lost interest in new Star Wars stuff at that point.

I won't repeat it here for obvious reasons, but basically one time I was talking to a guy, and I casually mentioned that I still haven't seen The Last Jedi, and I wanted to see it, then this dingus decides to recite every major plot detail of the movie to me, in order too, then when I say that I hope that he didn't do what I think he did, he says "oh i thought you said you didn't want to see it", since this person has been essentially banned from the friend group he regularly talked in, for many other annoying things like this one, and that I didn't like the movie anyways, I'd say the story is more so a funny one for me.
