Some appreciation for Zipp

I've noticed that zipp seems to be the least favourite among the mane 5. And while she isn't really my favourite either, i still wanted to create this thread to show some appreciation for her, i'll list some things i really like about her:

1) She was really kind to sunny and izzy right away, and wanted to be friends with them without having recieved sunny's lantern.

2) She's sporty and healthy. She practiced gliding for a long while, and looks really sporty and strong

3) She is willing to steal her mother's crown just to bring friendship back

 

And overall, her design is really good. Her voice actress also did a great job representing her. She's such a cool pony, and hope that her personality and character will be explored a bit more

I love Pipp and Zipp, they’re my favourites in the new generation.

I like Zipp a lot. She's in a 3-way tie with Sunny and Hitch for my second fave. (Izzy is at the top and Pipp is in third but I like her, too.) Zipp's blackboard diagram of the flying system was amazing.

Both Zipp and Hitch could be Spike's replacement for the group's resident cynic and voice of reason. One of my favorite parts of the film was when Hitch and Zipp paired up on the way to Bridlewood and were able to have a heart-to-heart talk with each other.

EDIT: Just rewatched the movie. I have no idea why I thought it was Hitch and Zipp talking it out. It was Hitch and Pipp. Zipp was talking with Sunny. Either way, I like Hitch and Zipp's down-to-earth attitude.

Nah, I think Pipp is the least favorite among the mane 5. (A bit ironic considering she's meant to be a social media star) Though that's not to say I hate her, or Zipp for that matter. In fact, I think they're pretty cool characters

Though I think the lack of favoritism might be because they got the least amount of screen time out of the mane 5 in the movie, cause I've noticed that their interactions with the others is somewhat scarce, Pipp especially

I immediately loved Zipp. I love her full name Zipperina . I think Zipp could be a new element of honesty because she hates lies so much. Zipp strikes me as very smart and kind. I want to see more of Zipp. Zipp looks like she could be related to Rainbow Dash but I like that Zipp has less ego and seems toned down compared to Rainbow Dash.

Zipp is my favorite of the Mane Five so far. I like that she's a princess, and next in line to be queen, but she's not pretentious about it. She doesn't care for what she sees as the pointless required customs of the royal family, so she only does them to the extent she has to. Instead, she's spent a lot of time studying and practicing flying (or gliding), showing a bit of her dual science and athleticism interests. She uses her position of authority to surreptitiously help her friends out. She can be sarcastic or supportive, depending on what the situation calls for. Plus, since Rainbow Dash was essentially my co-favorite of the Mane Six (along with Twilight), I think Zipp has a similar coolness factor.

I'm interested to see whether Zipp's studying and practicing flying comes into play in the show. I could see her teaching advanced flying techniques to other pegasi, and maybe even starting a new version of the Wonderbolts, for example.

Hitch and Zipp did team up in the climax to try to "rein in" Sprout's robot. Maybe Zipp volunteered to help Hitch because it could be physically strenuous to try to stop the robot, and her athleticism could help with that. She could also have volunteered because she has some science know-how, and that could help in figuring out how to stop the robot more quickly. Either way (or both) would be cool.

Zipp is tied for my favorite with Hitch!! I was super pleasantly surprised by both of their characters (and tbh the personalities of all of the mane 5). Zipp was so grounded and kind, and despite her super cool appearance, her personality wasn't tied directly to that coolness at all! I liked her immediately, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her!

She’s people’s least favorite? That’s weird. She not my top favorite character, but she’s definitely my favorite design.

I totally appreciate her. I like that she very grounded (for a pegasus, lol). I thought she was going to be a lot more like Rainbow Dash, but she’s actually very chill and mature.
