My more current hot takes are

Sabrina Carpenter's Man's Best Friend Album cover is fine. It's satire. The same sort of satire however that got completely missed when Katy Perry did it in the Woman's World music video. That seems to be the case with this as well. I think it's fine. People freaking out over it haven't seen a true explicit album cover before and it shows tbh.

On top of that the heard of people complaining that Sabrina's shows are too explicit. So what? An artist shouldn't have to change because you don't want to parent your children. If it's too explicit don't take your child to her shows. It's that easy. Parent your kids. I don't see y'all coming for Addison this much and she's 1000x worse when it comes to explicit behavior. 

Kesha's Period was an underwhelming album as a whole. Loved the singles but then the rest of the album dropped. Nothing stood out to me. That said I am happy she's free. Hopefully things will get better from here.

I don't see people complaining about this but whoever is running Chappell Roan's merch should be fired. Please direct them to Sabrina Carpenter's website to see how merch should be done for  upcoming pop stars. Especially those with a teen following. She got six shirts and a bunch of sold out vinyl records. The way Chappell and Pink Pony club ruled this past year and this is the best you can do? It's clownery and y'all should be capitalizing more while she's big because who knows if it'll last. That's why they're doing what they're doing with Sabrina and the other upcoming pop girlies. Capitalizing while they're big. I go to Olivia Rodrigo's shop and I get variety of a lot of stuff. I go to Chappell's and get next to nothing. Make it make sense.

I really hate all the emphasis on actors. For the most part nobody cares who does other jobs as long as they get done but everybody's always obsessed with which actors are in something.

And I really hate when a story gets changed based on the actors. I don't know for sure that it was Zendaya who demanded that her role in Dune be expanded and her character totally changed but somebody sure did just because she's a big name actor. Just play the character as written!!

This guy is right about sci-fi tv and tv in general. Tv shows(not technically "tv" at all) that are just dumped onto streaming a season at a time have no impact on the culture. Do you really think FIM would have had the impact it did if we didn't watch it every week and have time to think about it and talk about it?

I did not care much for The Conjuring. I watched it today and found it kinda boring. I see it often listed on people’s list of the best horror movie of all time. I found it very dull compared to a lot of horror movies I’ve watched recently.

There's too much obsession with spoilers. I mentioned that there's a new King of the Hill episode where Hank has become a soccer fan and people were bitching that it's a spoiler. Who cares? Knowing what the episode's about doesn't stop you from enjoying it at all. Spoiler alert: At the end of Lord of the Rings the ring goes into the volcano! Does that stop anybody from reading/watching it?

I read something a while ago that I agreed with that said all the obsession with spoilers reduces movies to nothing but depending on shock value and things like that are only worth watching once, they don't endure.

If I had one to say, possibly all My Little Pony generations matter, and so do the spin offs. If not enough fans liked a story telling of one of them, let the entertainment industry decide that. Generally they go for what is most profitable so they do pay attention to entertainment ratings. Besides it never hurt me that fans liked G5 more.

I suppose G5 should have been a more direct sequel to G4, but that is a whole different discussion. I don't believe people are losers who have no taste for liking a show or comic different than me though.

Any other unpopular opinions? rainbow power from Twilight's Kingdom episode in Friendship is Magic does not suck. Why would people act so surprised that rainbow magic would be a thing in the show when the show is targeted for all ages of audiences? besides I love the idea of rainbows being used to eradicate evil and banish villains to Tartarus, it's cute. Perhaps it may not motivate Tirek to see where he went wrong, but its symbolic of the fact that inspiring friendship can prevent more individuals like Tirek being made.
