LassAmy 38 October 14, 2022 Share October 14, 2022 I would then be living in a different state so no. Maybe for $100,000 though??
Prospekt 11,021 October 14, 2022 Share October 14, 2022 It's actually closer to work than where I'm living now. And I remember it being cozy. But I don't know if the area itself is all that pleasant nowadays because I rarely drive through that part of the suburbs. So I'd have to look into it first. Stone Cold Steve Jobs 22,441 October 16, 2022 Share October 16, 2022 Do I have to pay the monthly rent for it? I’d do it if it was free but $10k won’t even get you 6 months there. Probably more like 3-4 if you’re lucky. And that’s the bottom line, ‘cause Stone Cold said so!
ZiggWheelsManning 10,979 October 16, 2022 Share October 16, 2022 As blue as the home was, I'll accept it for the memories Special thanks to Emerald Heart for the banner!
Megas 27,769 October 17, 2022 Share October 17, 2022 (edited) I was like 3 and only remembered one thing there. It was a pretty well off area so it wouldn't hurt Edited October 17, 2022 by Megas
flutterJackdash 218 October 17, 2022 Share October 17, 2022 Honestly, I would move back into that house for free. No one has to pay me for that one.
Denim&Venöm 19,307 October 17, 2022 Share October 17, 2022 Considering the first home that I remember was a leased out condo in San Diego and $10K wouldn't even cover the deposit with how bad things have gotten down there, I'd have to pass. Dreambiscuit 10,095 October 17, 2022 Share October 17, 2022 Heck yes I’d accept! Even though I was born in Pennsylvania, the first place I actually remember is Blacksburg, Virginia. I LOVED Blacksburg when I was little, and I even had a chance to revisit it in 2009. It was a bit different looking to my adult eyes but I still loved it and would move there happily, especially with a 10K check clutched in my sweaty little fist.
ZiggWheelsManning 10,979 March 10, 2024 Share March 10, 2024 Sometimes the first place one lives in (aside from an offer) brings the best memories @Dreambiscuit 1 Special thanks to Emerald Heart for the banner!
Envy 6,192 March 10, 2024 Share March 10, 2024 I currently live in that home. Check in with me in half a year to a year and see how I'd answer since I'm moving. Chances are I'd say no. The house itself is nice and comfy. I'm going to miss it and I'm not happy that we're selling what could have someday been a guaranteed home for me passed down. But the problem is that it's in Oklahoma, where freedoms are gone/being taken away and the climate is downright miserable. I don't think that I can say that this home is sustainable either way going into the future. So, yeah, as much as I could use $10K, I like having freedoms and safety more. Everything needs more woodwind!
