MLP Forums Laziness?

I thought I could discuss something that I find myself doing a lot on the forums. Whenever a new thread appears and I'm online, I will go to the thread and leave a post if I feel it necessary. Or if I see a thread that is on the highlight in it's section. One thing I don't do though, is click into the section and go look for more. I find myself waiting for a new thread or, to be more vague, staring at the screen and reloading the page constantly. So I was wondering, does anyone else find themselves staring at their screen waiting for someone to make a new thread or give you a notification?

For a notification... Yes.

But for a thread, I look for them.

Eeyup. I'm simply too lazy to go search for a topic I like all the time. Which results in me refreshing the main page over and over again. That's why I have racked up about 4 days of time online here, I Guess. I'm logged in all the time, and I have a tab with the main page always open.

I only click on new content. Very, very, VERY, rarely will I ever actually go into a specific subforum to find more threads.

So yes, you are not alone in sitting and staring at the screen waiting for something to catch your attention.

Oh yeah me too. I just have that and Pandora or YouTube or something to look at while I wait.

The ENTIRE time I've been here, I've only been clicking on the 'new content' button. Sometimes, I would make an effort to go to threads like RP's because they didn't come up on the first page of the 'new content' search results.

I use the subforums, and occasionally new content. When I exhausted all of the topics I just leave for like 2 hours then come back.

I actively browse the forums. I go into sub-forums and all that looking for interesting topics. New content button be blasphemy in these parts. If there's nothing of interest here, I check other forums and if there is nothing of interest there, I come back here. Rinse, repeat.

I can neither confirm nor deny myself being the cause of electrical related malfunctions. Anyways, you wouldn't happen to have a jar of replacement magic smoke would you?

This is exactly what I do, except I also check my notifications every minute or so while doing it.

EDIT: For example, I hit F5 and saw I had a notification. My heart leapt. I clicked it, to see that Shankveld had brohoofed this post. Not as good as a quote, which generally lead to some form of conversation, but hey, a brohoof is still good, especially from a well-known member. Also, I've noticed that most people tend to post in a thread they just brohoofed in, so I expected to find more posts; at the very least, one from Shank. I was not disappointed.

I always go into sections and check for threads.

Rarely do I post, as I lurk far more often, but I still go into sections to look for threads quite often.

The "new content" button is pretty much how I find anything new to post in. Previous attempts to find anything by looking through the section itself have been met with the same outcome as trying to find my way through a forest without a map.
