Dragonshy 2,305 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 I thought I could discuss something that I find myself doing a lot on the forums. Whenever a new thread appears and I'm online, I will go to the thread and leave a post if I feel it necessary. Or if I see a thread that is on the highlight in it's section. One thing I don't do though, is click into the section and go look for more. I find myself waiting for a new thread or, to be more vague, staring at the screen and reloading the page constantly. So I was wondering, does anyone else find themselves staring at their screen waiting for someone to make a new thread or give you a notification? 4 Yeh Want to know how to get more page views? WhiteLightning 339 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 Eeyup. I'm simply too lazy to go search for a topic I like all the time. Which results in me refreshing the main page over and over again. That's why I have racked up about 4 days of time online here, I Guess. I'm logged in all the time, and I have a tab with the main page always open. Haven Celestii 9,385 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 I only click on new content. Very, very, VERY, rarely will I ever actually go into a specific subforum to find more threads. The Awesome One 1,315 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 The ENTIRE time I've been here, I've only been clicking on the 'new content' button. Sometimes, I would make an effort to go to threads like RP's because they didn't come up on the first page of the 'new content' search results. A Blithering Div 247 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 I actively browse the forums. I go into sub-forums and all that looking for interesting topics. New content button be blasphemy in these parts. If there's nothing of interest here, I check other forums and if there is nothing of interest there, I come back here. Rinse, repeat. 1 I can neither confirm nor deny myself being the cause of electrical related malfunctions. Anyways, you wouldn't happen to have a jar of replacement magic smoke would you? New content button be blasphemy in these parts. If there's nothing of interest here, I check other forums and if there is nothing of interest there, I come back here. Rinse, repeat. This is exactly what I do, except I also check my notifications every minute or so while doing it. EDIT: For example, I hit F5 and saw I had a notification. My heart leapt. I clicked it, to see that Shankveld had brohoofed this post. Not as good as a quote, which generally lead to some form of conversation, but hey, a brohoof is still good, especially from a well-known member. Also, I've noticed that most people tend to post in a thread they just brohoofed in, so I expected to find more posts; at the very least, one from Shank. I was not disappointed. PoisonClaw 8,164 June 12, 2012 Share June 12, 2012 The "new content" button is pretty much how I find anything new to post in.
