A couple additional fields on profiles

Heya!

How hard is it to add additional fields on profiles? I was wondering about suggesting a 'Nickname(s)' field, as well as a field for Telegram contact details.

There's a field for Titles but I can't remember if you need to do something to unlock it. I still haven't managed to figure out how to use my Title tab!

If it's the one I'm thinking of, you need a certain tier of Subscriber to use that?

I think so but I'm not sure which one it is. Don't think it has to do with a subscription though cause I know a couple people here who have titles but no active subscriptions.

I subbed recently and was allowed to add a title afterwards, not sure what's up with the non-subs with titles though - maybe they were former subscribers who were able to keep the titles afterwards? Or maybe an event reward of some kind?

I think you have to ask to change your title now.

Telegram ID definitely makes sense. It's a popular messenger nowadays. 

But nicknames? Hmm... Are they required to make people know how to address you? Or how to search you in the Internet? I think this info would look great right in your profile.

I did wonder if the nickname thing could be something displayed on the side profiles next to posts as a quick reference for people but I'm not sure  what prompted this partly is seeing people trying to shorten my username and it's like 'hm wish there was a way for people to easily see nicknames they can use if they struggle with that...'

I don't know how people feel about that of course, just throwing that idea out there

Yeah a few people call me Aki instead and most people are gonna have absolutely no idea who they're talking about.

I think the suggestion is meaning something like this where you can see the nicknames for quick reference right by posts.

This is where we'll be told this is either impossible or will take like 70 hours of coding.

I think this is an interesting idea. I will look into this. It certainly looks nice in the way of which you present it. Give me some time, though.

We used to have a "User Title" option for a short time. It's I got my "Tangled Sparkle Duck" nickname under my rank.

I like this idea. I put my preferred name (my real name) in my bio but this would be good too, easier for people to see.
