Hey guys,

 

Ok, so I've totally never done anything like this before, but I thought, well what's there to lose? So I started an indiegogo.com fundraiser for my daughter's birthday party.

 

I know, seems ridiculous. But my husband just got laid off last week and now all the plans we had set up for it are kinda going down the drain.... My daughter is young, but she's old enough to know what a birthday is and I know this would make her so happy and excited!!!

 

The idea was this: Balloons in the colors of the ponies bodies with ribbons in the colors of their manes and tails, decorations around the tables in the colors of the ponies. A Rarity themed birthday cake, which some of you know about already. A darling tutu-dress made in Rarity's colors for Lizzie to wear as the birthday girl! Birthday hats or maybe crowns for each child in various pony colors. Gift bags with the Mane 6's cutie marks attached to them and pony related goodies inside.

 

I also am hoping to make her the Mane 6 pony plushies for her to snuggle with whenever she gets lonely, but that's expensive and I don't quite have everything I need for them. We wanted to set them around the venue in places where they will be in their element. Pinkie Pie will be right in the action, of course. Twilight will probably be in the library. Rainbow Dash will be "flying" near the trees. There's so many options!

 

Then there's the invitations... my favorite part! We had planned on doing an invitation to the "Grand Galloping Gala" (see season 1 finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic). Included in the invitations were going to be gold paper tickets embossed to look royal and pony-like. Then the games, Pin the Tail on the Pony, a My Little Pony hot air balloon pinata! We were so excited!

Heh, I will if it turns out even half as cool as we're hoping. Not sure if it'll work out, but I'm gonna try!!!

This seriously sounds like the coolest party ever.

I dunno, I'd personally say that three is still a little young for such an elaborate birthday party, but hey who am I to talk. I would donate a buck or two, but I myself don't have a job so derp.

Just editing my signature to say that my behavior on here was cringe. I don't regret the friends i made but man i was cringe here

I'm not sure what I can do to prove it's not a scam. I mean, it's not a scam, but you don't know me, so you can choose to believe me or not. But, I can tell you that I would never ask for money from a random person, especially in the name of my child, as a scam. If you'd like to see some feedback on my work (non-pony related), I have an etsy shop here: www.etsy.slightlyspiced.com. You can check my feedback. That may not prove that it's not a scam, but it will at least show some character as a merchant anyway. :) But if you don't trust it, then you don't have to donate. :) I completely understand your concern.

how do you know it's not a scam? CUZ SHE IS A MUFFIN DUH.

 

(not that i think its a scam i jsut think that sentences phrased REALLY FUNNY)

Also, in case anyone here looks at the fundraiser site, I would like to point out that I don't need nearly what I have listed. But the website wouldn't allow me to put just like 100 or something, 500 was the minimum. I mean, I'm sure I could manage to spend that on her party, but that would be rather absurd.... just sayin'. Unless I hired like... Rarity to come to her party. That would be amazing. :D

it's not because she is a muffin on the site

 

It's because it sounds like he/she was calling him/her a muffin lol like that was supposed to explain everything lol *like a actual muffin*

Heheh, I can say, with reasonable sureity, that I am in fact not a muffin. At least, not a real muffin. :D In other news, my fundraiser is going pretty well! I really don't need as much as it says, but I couldn't choose a smaller amount, $500 was the smallest it would let me say. But it's going well. :)

Haha, seriously though, the badge doesn't show if a person is a scammer or not. I am a unicorn, if I told everypony to donate money to me because I will make a surprise for everypony who donated, would you really believe me?
