Look out there!

A frozen ember floats down in the cold air,
Completely unbothered by where it latches.

Bit by bit and far and wide,
It glues together in soft patches.

In the haze, a blanket is formed,
Despite the minor scratches
From commuting travelers and townsfolk alike.

For now, we'll rest inside,
Letting it gather slow and steady
As we prepare for the season which is Merry.
Later, there will be plenty to do;
We just need to wait until this snowfall's through.

In the meantime, will someone start a Brew?

 

 

 

 

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Build a Snow Pony event for this year's Making Christmas Merrier!

There's plenty of snow outside for us to build a snow pony together.

Before we begin, we need to know who absolutely wants to participate. This is for coordination purposes, so please post below saying that you will be participating.

If you didn't get a chance to say you want to participate when we start (perhaps you're a little busy now but things clear up for you later, which I absolutely understand) then don't worry; you can still participate once everyone on the priority list has finished!

If you already signed up and it's past your turn, you can still participate again with no problems once everyone on the priority list has finished!

I will give a starting template for everyone to work on in a day or two from now, and I will notify everyone who signed up so they can start immediately.

 

 

Here's how this will work:

• once you sign up (please respond to this thread by saying you will be participating) I will make a list of people who made it clear they will be participating.
• The goal is to add your own accessories, or other pieces, to a snow pony, which I will provide the base of in a day or two.
  • Use an image editor of your choice. If you don't know or have one, then I recommend Photopea: https://www.photopea.com/ (Instead of Save As, use File -> Export As to save it as an image, unless you want to save the actual project file for later)
• It can be drawn, and there is leniency for "collaging" of, say... vector art. We're just here to have some fun! 
• You can also add scenery items (foreground or background) if you'd like!
• When you're finished adding something, simply post your edit in this thread below!
• It helps a ton if you can say what and where you added something (I can be a bit blind and won't see the changes easily sometimes).
• ONLY FOR THOSE WHO SIGNED UP FIRST: Please tag @ the next person when you're finished with your turn. If Person 1, Person 2, and Person 3 have signed up, tag each other in that respective order (if you forget to then it's ok, I will tag the next person in line).
  • If you're the last person in the priority list then you don't need to tag anyone
• When it reaches the end of that list, anyone and everyone is allowed to participate. You don't need to tag anyone afterwards.

 

Example:

Me: *provides snow pony base*

Person 1: *sends edit 1 and tags Person 2*

Person 2: *sends edit 2 and tags Person 3*

Person 3: *sends edit 3 and doesn't tag anyone because they were last on the list, unless they want to tag someone else*

Person 4: *sends edit 4*

Person 1: *sends edit 5*

Person 3: *sends edit 6*

Person 4: *sends edit 7*

etc.

Hopefully this makes sense. 

 

Of course, please make sure you're not adding things that breaks the rules of this community! I do trust that nobody will break any rules.
