While we're talking about ponies and Skyrim and mods, I think I'll leave this video here and back away slowly...

Huh. From what I know about how Skyrim works, the mammoths should respawn eventually.

Congrats, you destroyed a race of innocent creatures forever! =D

Uh, innocent? Those mother fuckers will come at you in groups of 4 or 5 like no other! Let alone those goddamn trolls.

By the way, my chest hurts from laughing at that video so hard.

"How you doing!?" *Commence 360 slice through the chest*

While trekking through the northern areas of Skyrim I found the Hall of the Vigilants destroyed with dead vampires littered around the area. Later I found out what happened after installing Dawnguard and I was all "Ooh.. too bad."

But personally I prefer the warmer areas like the ones between Whiterun and Falkreath. My Lakeside Manor has the best view of scenery there compared to the other one at the base of ancient ruins I have yet t explore.

Oh yeah question, how do you get Dawnguard. I know it's a DLC but how much is it? I am not I'm connected to Xbox Live, but I am connected to the internet. Idk if I can get it either way.

The value of a Skyrim-Dawnguard DLC is around $20 and $30. The price difference will depend on where you buy it and the market forces of demand and supply. The best thing to do is to buy from authorized dealers.

But I actually had it torrent it off the net for my PC. It's about 1.50gb. Cost me next to nothing.

My laptop isn't really powerful enough to run Skryim. Do you by any chance know how to increase video card RAM? I have an intel laptop, with intel graphics card that's not really so great. At startup, there is a way to increase your video card RAM but I havn't found the option in the boot settings -____- Uhg FML

I looked for video card options but I didn't find any. That was last time I looked. These tutorials look a bit better, so I'll try them later tonight (x

I haven't played it yet, but I have seen a lot of gameplay, and I've watched some of my family play it, and from a viewing standpoint, it looks really boring. The pacing's slow, the combat is pretty slow, the game itself just seems to be a very slow, insipid mess.

I guess I can't really say anything because I have never tried it yet, but I've seen a lot of it, and it just seems like a game I'd get bored of in the first couple hours of playing it.

Also, another thing that takes me away from it is the fanbase. The Fus-Ro-Das and the ever so infamous Arrow To The Knee memes are not only unfunny, but PAINFUL. Luckily, those memes are starting to die out now.

Maybe I'll try it when I'm really bored with my money, or if the hype dies down a bit, but for now, I try to avoid it at all costs.

  • 5 months later...

I loved Morrowind and when I heard they brought out another I was excited! My favourite is the khajiit! I love how the horses can swim through very deep water! I always want a sweet roll after playing the game.

Wow, very light on the content in that post there :3

I ALWAYS play Khajiit and play through as a thief every time, i have played through the game like 4 times now, i do all the side quests and i have all the DLC so i do all of those quests too.

Dragonborn DLC is cool by the way but the amour you can get from it is stupidly over powered.

While it is definitely not my favourite game, Skyrim was definitely fun times. I've spent a good amount of time on it, and it was pretty fun. However, I no longer play it.

After I finally got it for PC, I played it for a while before I discovered just how big and awesome the mod community is. So, skip ahead a month or two of me screwing around on the Nexus and Workshop whilst watching Skyrim mod showcase videos on YouTube, and I had somewhere between 90-100 mods installed for Skyrim. And, one day, my Skyrim decided to stop working right.

After trying everything I could think of and find online to try and fix it(excluding ones involving my mods), I never got it to work, and I still experienced the same problems over and over. So, I can only imagine that it must be an issue with one or some of the many mods I have installed, however I was much too frustrated and lazy to try to weed it out or simply remove every mod and try without them. So, I just simply decided to quit playing Skyrim and go rage.

I love Skyrim :). I played it a good bit, and I still play it on occasions, although its been a bit.

Unfortunately my computer isn't quite good enough to run it there, so no mods for me. However I have it for Xbox.

I personally almost always play as one of the elf races, I don't totally know why but I have a liking for Elves :P. So I end up playing them alot. Infact basically all like 6 or so of my charactors are elves either Dark elves Wood elves or High Elves.

I haven't really got that far to be honest, I think my highest is my mage whos like 34 or so, hes maxed Destruction, thats the only maxed skill I have on him though.

I do love the game, I just haven't had time to beat every sidequest or anything :P. I did beat the main story, and level a good bit of charactors to like around 20 most of them, some in like 15ish, nothing really impressive though to be honest.

Hell yeah! Skyrim is honestly the only game I play nowadays. Sure I may play a few days of something like Dishonored or Resident Evil, but Skyrim is usually my choice in the end. Pretty ironic considering I used to think the game would be stupid, since I was under the impression it was "nerdy".

I've gone through a lot of saves, but I usually play as the following:

1. High Elf- they make great battlemages/spellswords. I have a level 81 Altmer who pretty much never dies due to the Daedric Armor which render his spells costless and his daedric swords (dual enchanted) which are pretty much overpowered.

2. Argonian- my current file I'm using, Argonians make good assassins, plus they look badass considering theyre reptilian beings. Again, he's level 81 with Vampire Royal armor plus a few pieces of the Ancient Dark Brotherhood armor, so he actually looks like an assassin.

I'll admit, I got to level 81 with the Oghma Infinium glitch.

I think the DLCs are great, and Dawnguard is probably my favorite. Dragonborn did add a lot more though, and it was interesting since you actually feel like you're getting involved with a Daedric lord instead of just the usual, "Hey Dovahkiin do this stuff and I will give you a present,".

I think Skyrim's a great game, minus the appalling combat :P The world is beautiful and unbelievably large, you'll always find a new face to talk to in the wilds, cities to explore and the like. Everyone seems to slot into place in a massive web of back story, it's awesome. I also actually sympathise with the characters in their quests, which doesn't happen often in RPGs.

I'd never call myself a truly experienced player, but I have spent a fair amount of time on it. I played the XBox version for ages, and my recently bought PC version I've got me a warrior Redguard. Heavy armour, one-handed axe and shield, that's the way I go. Getting blocks in makes the quite geometric combat have a bit more to it. :3

Oh, and I love the console in the PC version. I spawned two hundred sweet rolls to surround one of the Whiterun guards, then got a snapshot of him saying "Let me guess, someone stole your sweet roll." I've not even cracked the crust of the fun that could possibly be had on the PC. I've already noticed it being smoother, I'll go familiarising myself with the whole modding thing at some point.

Now I really want to play it. I think I will do.

I want a sweetroll too, but someone stole all of mine...

Well, I'm a big Morrowind fan as well! It's cool to see someone else who enjoys the classics. How do you think the games rank up against each other? Morrowind had some of the most immersive lore, and I love how the world was laid out and had so many interesting secrets to hide. The world building in general was top notch, and I really felt like I was exploring an actual culture in that regard.

Skyrim still falls short in that regard, as the world just doesn't have that level of immersion that Morrowind did, and certain little things just get left out. For instance in Morrowind, there were numerous types of liquor and drugs that had very different effects. Those things are absent from Skyrim. What Skyrim lacks though it makes up for in terms of pure visceral combat and immersive visuals. Exploring Skyrim is also just as fun as exploring Vvardenfell. The exclusion of levitation also forces you to look between the cracks and find hidden mountain passes and caverns. The sheer volume of things to do in Skyrim also beats out Morrowind.

In all, it's a wonderful inclusion to The Elder Scrolls!

The game has been so great. Even more so with the addition of mods on the PC which I play on. SkyUI and Player Headtracking are the best things ever to have been made! It makes the world more vibrant and wonderful. To this day I still haven't completed every single piece of side quests in the game. In fact I came up to some small hut in the middle of nowhere, figure it was nothing until it turned out to be a underground skooma den, then things going horribly wrong after that.

Anyway just ended the Dawnguard quest line as a vampire hunter on my, I think 5th, play-through of the entire game plus with Dragonborn "expansion" installed (yes it feels that way instead of some thin layer of DLC) it just gives me a reason to come back for another clean start!

Skyrim is the best in the series! The game looks great and plays great too.I'll admit i usually get the story and most the side quests done pretty quick, which is something that bugged me a little.I always enjoyed doing the Oghma Infinium glitch.Has anypony else done this?I'm currently a level 81 imperial wearing Dragon scale armor.

I have. Most would say that it takes the fun out of the game, but to me this helps the game be more fun since you're not worrying about leveling and grinding!

I played Oblivion, and now skyrim. Great fun, although skyrim got nerfed a bit in terms of magic...

I enjoy enchanting heavy armour to have 4 pieces reducing destruction cost by 25%, so that I can blast infinite firestorms :P
