Also, I guess it's a quick exercise in my penciling abilities as well. No references used; #2 pencil on A4 sized standard printer paper; time spent, roughly 20 minutes? Not perfect work, but meh, it'll get me started on the pixel version. Main thing wrong here is the back mane; the form is kind of correct, but the borders where the ends of the hair would be located are kind of lame. Oh well, I guess one thing about improving with pencil art is finishing what you started with minimal erasing.

Hehe, thanks; I just started shading it weirdly, and said, "let's just see how it turns out". It's not correct to the canon style, but I'll admit it's interesting, and the pixel I'm working on based on this concept sketch likely will have the same style.
