"Just a small burnt on my hoof and some bruises, nothing I haven't dealt with before." Carrick said, he showed her the wound. A quick cringe of pain came as he bit his lip, It's hard being a good guy.

 

"Anyway, when should we leave to find Twilight, do we just wait until Daeva wakes or wake her ourselves?" Blaze asked.

 

"I think we let her sleep, it was a pretty stressful situation from both the Thunder incident and this incident as well."

Starbolt used her magic to heal the wound. Magic enveloped Carrick's burn instantly soothing it, when the magic cleared the burn was gone

"How was that? Does it feel better?" She asked him smiling a little.

Hypno didn't respond to Blaze, he just grumbled as he got up. He could of said something insulting be decided not to. He walked into another room and shut the door. It was the bathroom. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. After a few seconds his appearance changed to a more dark version of himself. He just stared at it for a few seconds before he merely muttered "Make it stop" to himself in a sad tone. As he talked he noticed that his teeth were now all pointed and sharp, instead of just two fangs. Pure dark energy emitted to those who could sense it from him.

Carrick pain went away. It was still a weird feeling for Carrick, being healed. Carrick moved the hoof as he put some pressure on the hoof. "It feels great, thanks Starbolt." Carrick said as he moved around his hoof. Carrick heard the sound of Hypno from the bathroom. What is going on?

Blaze's MP Wave sense was going balistic, he felt an extremely malevolent energy that made his mane stand on end. He decided to ignore it because he was almost certain it came from him and he could give a flying buck what that guy was doing, as long as it did not hurt the group in anyway. He remembered he lent that book to Starbolt a while back and decided to ask her about it. "So about that familiar book I lent to you, did you ever get around to reading it?" Blaze asked.

Quick didn't know how he was picking up this feeling of... unease, but he was. It was coming from the door the green dark-magic user had went into. He could feel... evil. He crossed himself and muttered superstitiously*

She turned to Blaze. "Yes I have read it." She replied slightly excited hoping to learn some more magic.

Hypno collapsed to the floor as his form turned back. He wheezed once as he collected himself from a possible mental breakdown. He walked out of the room and sat back down, more normal looking now. He calmed himself and listened to the conversation.

"Well you might have noticed that on the cover of the book there is a symbol. That symbol is actually the Rune to summon a familiar. Take a closer look" Blaze said

 

 

I did not bother to make my own rune like I did the other times, it would take to long, so I just photoshopped the back of a playing card to make it square and then cut the border and background out and got this

Quick's feeling subsided, but he still shied away from that doorway. Something just... wasn't right. He could feel it in his gut, and he that was the only reason he seemed to listen to. He looked around to make sure nopony else had seen him cross himself. You're acting like a little fillie, stop it, he thought to himself.

"Kinda, Why don't you have a familiar?" She asked interested behind why he doesn't have one.

" Well, I actually do have a familiar, he has been on a mission I gave him for the past year and a half. After my father passed away, a lot of his belongings, including all of his treasure, was stolen by rival pirate gangs. Among these treasures one of his most prized possessions was stolen an amulet comprised of ancient dragon scales and filled with ancient dragon blood. The amulet was said to increase the MP of the individual who wore it. I told this story to my Phoenix and he told me that he would go on a mission to find it and retrieve it. He is still out there somewhere looking for that amulet." Blaze said

"Oh that's interesting, I hope you get your amulet back." She said.

Hypno looked around the cabin curiously. He just wished he had someone to talk to sometimes. But he obviously didn't. He could feel his moods switch from jealous, crude, and now lonely. He mentally sighed and got back to listening to the conversation. He didn't have much of a clue what was going on yet either.

"I am sure he will be back soon, when you have a familiar you are connected so you know weather he is dead or not, and you can talk to him/her. Although only Familiars and their masters may communicate anyone outside will just think you are talking to an critter." Blaze said.

Most Familiars do not die before their master's though, so you dont have to worry." Blaze said. "My phoenix can die as much as it wants, she is immortal, she just rises from the ashes." Blaze said.

Hypno had no idea what Familiars even were. He got up and decided to see if there was anyone he hadn't met yet. He left the room and started to walk around the cabin investigating the place to his best ability.

Hmm, this could be interesting. Carrick was a bit intrigued by the spell itself, though he can't really conjure up magic. To create a mystical beast from just magic is something of a wonder. Carrick went outside to see how this would work.

Hypno returned to the living room. He noticed that seemingly no pony was left except a mare that was tied up. He slowly walked over to the mare and nudged her softly to see if she was awake "Hey, you alright?" he asked quietly.

Outside Starbolt started to etch the runic symbol in the ground, the symbol was better than her last one.

The lines were straight and it was more refined, it's clear to Carrick Starbolt gave 100 percent of her effort in this spell.
