What got you all happy?" Hypno asked him.

Blaze was so lost in his thoughts that he almost did not hear Hypno. "Huh?... Oh, its not important. Let's get back to the cabin. We need to decide what the next step is for the case" Blaze said. He lifted off of the ground about to fly back to the cabin. "You coming?" Blaze asked.

"Aright" Hypno said as he took off after Blaze. He wondered what could of changed Blaze's mood so quickly. But he decided to ask him later. In the meantime, Blaze was right, they needed to find out what to do next.

Blaze and Hypno managed to find their way back to the cabin. Blaze landed on the ground, outside the cabin's front door and entered the building. He saw Carrick going over his notes. "So, what's our next step?" Blaze asked curiously, he did not even have one tinge of sadness on his face. In fact quite the opposite, Blaze almost looked happy.

Carrick eyes kept reading his notes. He didn't noticed Blaze's words, nor his content. All he could think of was...a clue...a small insignificant clue. Something...just something to get him down. His kept flipping pages as he read it one more time. "That vial...the vial must be connected." Carrick said to himself.

Starbolt went down the path and followed it back to the cabin. She really didn't say much on what happend to Blaze. However, she could tell he was....happy. She didn't know what happened, but it's good to see him better.

 

Carrick eyes looked up at Blaze. From the expression on his face, he seemed better. Not sure what changed that. Still, it's better than him moping around. Carrick got up and said, "Good to see you, Blaze. You too, Hypno" Carrick commented on seeing Hypno.

 

"As you can tell, I'm a bit...lost. From whatever happened in the cave. We didn't find Twilight and instead found one of the Ice Star's goons."

 

"Ningues Devoto, he's from the Ningues Devoto" Snow interrupted.

 

"Care to explain?" Carrick asked.

 

"Ice Star's generals. The one you fought had abilities are one of the mind." Snow said.

 

"Maybe you can help us?" Carrick said, knowing the answer.

 

"No. I'm not going to help you." Snow said.

 

Carrick sighed, "Anyway, from what I can tell. Twilight might of been here, but if it weren't for the fact that we stayed here for too long or the many incident that transpire in this mountain. They probably retreated." Carrick said.

 

"They took the vial that I had in my pocket when we were inside Twilight's Treehouse. That's the only clue I have. An odorless liquid...I'm not sure how it's connected with everything, but it is."

"Maybe it was a potion of some sort, or a poison. Cyanide does not have a scent unless you have the genetic markers in your DNA that allows you to smell it. It could also be a MP catalyzing agent of some kind." Blaze said taking a shot in the dark.

Daeva finally woke up from the longest sleep she had since she crashed through the window in Ponyville, she didn't feel like standing up after such a long sleep but she managed to throw herself out of bed and opened the door.

 

She saw Blaze, Carrick, Hypno and Snow all at the living room talking about something about a vial, she has been sleeping for quite some time and she felt as if a lot of things past without her.

 

As she went down the stairs she asked everypony "Did I miss anything important when I was asleep at the cabin?" she asked softly as she rubbed her eyes with her hooves.

 

((OOC: I am finally back and I've just read all eleven pages which took a while, I can't believe Blaze lost his powers and I am planning to take him down.))

The room was filled with a long awkward silence. "You might want to take a seat, you missed quite a lot actually" Blaze said to his very special somepony.

Daeva saw a rocking chair at the side of the room that she never noticed before and she sat down slowly rocking it while looking at Blaze with those cute eyes.

 

"Something wrong Blaze?" she asked worried that something was wrong with him.

Carrick realized that she hasn't been out of that room in a long time. I wonder how long did she sleep? Was so much demon energy used, that she slept that long? Hmmm. Carrick took a mental note of that. He stood quiet, this is going to be emotional. Celestia knows how she'll react. Anger? Sadness? Regret? Fear? There's a lot of possibilities....

"While you were asleep Carrick decided to go to the top of the mountain. I did not go with him at the time. It turned out to be a big trap. I tried to rush in and save them, my plan backfired, I triggered a trap and now I can't use magic" Blaze said with a grin

Daeva felt horrible she wasn't there to save him, though there was nothing to do now.

 

"How could a simple trap take away your ability to use magic?" she questioned Blaze with curiosity.

 

((OOC: I read the whole thing and I know what he's going to say anyway, just asking for the sake of it.))

"Well the Horn is connected to the skull by some tissue, nerves, and bones. I triggered a trap that partially severed the connection between the horn and skull. At least I would like to believe it was partially, I don't know if I acted fast enough in despelling it." Blaze said

"Is there any way to check if it's permanent or just temporary broken?" she said as started to imagine how his life would be without magic completely, all the work he's put into magic all gone.

 

At least Blaze was alive and not dead.

 

((OOC: Going off to bed for today, had fun catching up on such an amazing story. It would be nice if all the roleplaying just stopped for me but I doubt that'll happen.))

Fae started to feel her magic returning.

Fae tried to levitate an apple, the apple lifted of the table.

"Looks like Fae has her magic back." She said to the group.

"An interesting motivational quote." Carrick interjected. "Well, you might have all the time you need to train." Carrick said skimming the notes again. "The only clue we have is the vial. Even if we did know what vial was. It would just tell more about their plan. Not about where they are. The search for motive at this point is moot since Ice Star blatantly talked about his plans to Blaze and Starbolt " Carrick said. He didn't lose hope just yet, but he started to get frustrated.

 

Carrick looked at Fae as she levitated the apple. "That's good to hear." Carrick commented.

Hypno walked over to Snow and sat down close to her, watching as the group talked with each other. He wasn't much of a planner or a talker, so he let them be. "So this guy up in the mountain was a general then?" he asked her curiously.

Snow nodded, "He's was one of the generals of Ningues Devoto. He's a powerful magic user." Snow said, she shuddered for a second as memories of that first incident came through her brain. "He has no name, but I call him, corpus sine pectore (a body without a soul)"

A dark room. Three ponies were inside the room, Snow, Corpus Sine Pectore, and a prisoner. The prisoner was beaten down, from the attacks from Snow. He was still shivering from her cold magic. Snow turned to Corpus.

 

"I'm fine for killing him, but this? This feels...morally wrong, we're just here to get information."

 

"Morals? Morals are what pulls us down. I like to bend the morals." Slowly the runic circle engulfed the prisoners as he started to scream....

 

"I-i can't see! I can't see!" The prisoners started to scream frantically...

Snow blinked at his humor. She really didn't understand how he acts so nonchalant about it. "You'd think so, but he's pretty big for a unicorn. Least the last time I've saw him." She said. Snow didn't really see his features from under the hood he wore, but the hood was tight for the pony.

Carrick took a big sigh, "There's a saying, if you can't see it in front of you after reading it. You need to take a break and read it later. I'm going to take a break." Carrick placed the notes on the table as he walked out of the living room and into a bedroom. He laid flat on the bed, he didn't want to sleep...he just wanted to relax his body...

"Well, i better watch out for his threatening ground writing powers. Maybe he has no head under his hood, like in that Doctor Whooves show. We could look for that hotspring, that might be fun? Snow blinked at Blaze, "You might want to ask him later, he seems....frustrated." Snow said. She couldn't tell what Carrick felt, but from the sighs he has been giving. It felt obvious, she then was confused at Hypno's humor again.

 

"You have an odd sense of humor, Hypno." She chuckled.

Carrick saw Starbolt open the door of his room, a memory of her lips touching his popped into his head. A slight blush came through his cheeks, he turned away for a second. She asked him if he was okay. "I've been better. We have no clues to do anything. It starting to become frustrating " Carrick said.
