They rounded a corner and the cafe was right in front of them Blaze took a seat right outside as he waited for the waiter to take his order. There were two empty seats at the table he sat at for the others.

"Thanks Blaze. I will read this later." Said Starbolt keeping the book in her saddlebag for later.

Seeing that there was only 1 seat left Starbolt levitated another one from a vacant table.

"I'l just have some apples and cherries." She said not really that hungry.

The waiter came by and asked what they were having "I will have the fruit parfait, and she said she would be having some apples with a side of cherries, and the other young lady will be having?" Blaze asked Daeva

"I'm not sure Blaze, just order anything for me." she whispered.

"Make that two fruit parfaits" Blaze finished, The waiter left, and the wait for their food began. This cafe usually did not take a lot of time finishing an order so it would not be to long. He saw the apprehension on Daeva's face. He realized she probably did not know what a parfait was. " All a parfait is, is a bowl of fruit layered with sweet creamy yogurt in between. They are quite good if you ask me" Blaze explained.

Carrick took his eggs and slowly eat them. He hasn't had eggs in a while. The taste was rather pleasant even for a pony who only ate vegetables. The taste wasn't enough for Carrick to get his mind distracted. Blaze's words were stuck in his head he wouldn't actually kill one of the wielders of harmony after he took all the time to kidnap each one of them. No, I think he needs them for something.

 

Blaze's reasoning was valid however there are also other variables to keep in mind. The fact that the six ponies could of gotten into a big heap of trouble and got kidnap instead. It made sense from the clue of the shattered glass. The calling card. No criminal would give blatantly evidence of that, right? . Unless...he tried to push Carrick to his game. To see if he has the will to push forward even with the ponies in danger. A battle of wits or is it all just overthinking?

 

Carrick look up in the ceiling. Carrick closed his eyes, and took a deep breath:

 

"I think you do and see. I believe that I knew who it was....it was the mentor who had helped you learn that spell of yours."

 

"W-what are you talking about?! These are just baseless! Baseless!"

 

"Maybe they are but, what if baseless statement have some truth to them? See, if I am telling the truth, than the problem about that is it will affect you, big time."

 

"What?!"

 

"I thought you were the Powerful and Great Trixie, don't you know what I am talking about? If this pony has to do something about this case. You are becoming accessory to the crime and you won't just get another sentence, I'm pretty sure this means banishment!"

 

"W-w-well, what if you are wrong?" Trixie countered.

 

"Am what if I right? Are you willing to take that risk?"

 

Carrick opened his eyes. he has made his decision...

Thunder finished Trixie's eggs and took them upstairs to her. "I made them just the way you like them Trixie," he said as he laid the eggs infront of her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

" Well being mostly vegetarian I can't say that I would have anything other than fruit for breakfast. As I said, probably my most favorite dinner food would probably be a shitake mushroom. I also like steamed broccoli with cheese." Blaze replied

"I never eaten outside because I lived in the Everfree Forest when I grew up, I caught my own food and I cooked them myself."

 

Daeva was wondering what took the food so long as she tried to continue the conversation between Blaze and her.

 

"So.. What do you think?"

"I don't think much of it at all. It is not my lifestyle choice but I am not going to frown on you for choosing it. I have attended nobles dinner where they served beef and I tried it. It was good but I just can't get past the fact that it came from a living creature. If you need to survive than by all means have at it. I choose not to eat animals if I don't have to." Blaze said

"I think that's our food, I can't wait to taste it!" exclaimed Daeva as she clapped her hooves.

 

The waiter placed down the two bowls on the table and I ate it without any matters.

 

"That tasted great, or maybe because I was starving."

The waiter set down two bowls and a plate of Apples with cherries on the side. Blaze took his parfait and devoured it, it had been a while since he had had a decent meal. The sweet tanginess of the fruit mixed with the yogurt was simply divine.

"It was very much so delicious." Blaze said, he reached into his saddle bag and grabbed his coin pouch and put it on the table for when the waiter would collect the bill.

Carrick got up, he wanted to move fast. He rather not take his chances with word getting around that Carrick and the others took Trixie and assaulted guards. "Thunder, you keep Trixie here. I'll be right back." Carrick galloped out of the treehouse and went to the cafe.

 

Trixie went and enjoyed her breakfast. Mmmm, it really has been a while since I've tried this, "This is really good, Thunder" Trixie said.

The atmosphere seem pretty calm today, the many ponies that stared at him seemed pretty relaxed before. Maybe it was Blaze that gave him that feeling. Makes sense. Carrick went to the cafe as he saw Blaze, Daeva , and Starbolt. "You might want to pack it up, Blaze and Starbolt. We have a train to catch" Carrick said.

Starbolt picked up and ate her apples and cherries. She saw Carrick approach. "Where are we headed?" She asked as she finished eating her food.

'Yum it's been awhile since I had some cherries.' She thought as she savored each cherry.

Blaze payed the bill as Carrick approached "Did you have a breakthrough in the case" Blaze asked. He felt a sense of urgency in Carrick's tone. ..........................................................................................................................

"I wouldn't say we have a break, but we're going to that mountain you know who was talking about. " Carrick didn't want to say the name Trixie. It could be....problematic.

 

"The more time we waste, the more problems can happen so time is of the essence."

"Alrighty" Blaze got up and followed Carrick out of the cafe wondering what changed Carricks mind from this morning. "Come on everypony lets get going" Blaze said to Starbolt and Daeva.

Starbolt stood up and followed Carrick and Blaze.

"So what's going on? Why are we heading towards a mountain?" Asked Starbolt as she walked with the group.

"You weren't there when I asking question with Trixie? Well, Trixie trained with Ice Star. She had a location that is she said was on the outskirts of Equestria. The largest mountain on the outskirts. We'll be taking the train to start climbing up from there" Carrick said.
