I've had couple of cartoon crushes before, and I'm actually madly in love with a certain beautiful, grey, accident-prone, klutz-of-a-pegasus, as we speak.
It hurts like hell to know that I'll never be able to be with her, and tell her how she makes me feel, but hey, welcome to the cold harshness of reality. You can't always win, right?

So yeah, I've returned after two years. If you remember me, cool. If not, also cool. Anyway, I haven't watched MLP at all since season 3 began, so I'm not sure. But last I checked, I was still insanely in love with Rainbow Dash, so nothing has changed since 2011.

There are far far stranger things people are attracted to than cartoon ponies and you are far from being the only one on here that is, there are plenty of people including me that have admitted on here that they are attracted to some of the ponies. There were so many threads about having a crush on a particular pony on here that the mods merged them all together. I think that part of it is personality but it is ultimately because they are so human like some of us have on a subconscious level recognized them as human which sometimes opens the door to attraction. And one thing I have learned is that the line between cute and sexy is often not as clear as many people think it is.

Yeah, Like EarthbendingProdigy says, there are far weirder things to be attracted to. And anyway even if it were a bizarre thing; who cares? As far as I'm concerned you're even more awesome for it. The world would be terribly boring without a bit of weird. Although all that is moot cos its really not weird, I know I have a super crush on Fluttershy.

ok i dont rly mean intercourse with irl ponies, the only reason I think I'm attracted to fluttershy is because she has the perfect atributes! I mean cute, shy, friendly and nice, along with alot more, I think im attracted to that and not the pony herself.

I completely understand where you're coming at with this. I too have developed a crush on Fluttershy based on the characteristic/attributes she has. I told my two brony pals about it for advice; one told me that it's 100% wrong and I'd need to see a psychiatrist about it, my other friend told me he knew some websites that could help but turned out to be Rule 34 sites of MLP.

Overtime, I found out that I now find female Pegasai attractive. Fluttershy is the only exception as I still have a strong crush on her. At the moment, I'm not attracted to any Unicorns, but some Earth Ponies too. Those Earth Ponies consist of: Pinkie Pie, Octavia, and Apple Fritter.

I totally had the same thing.

At first it was with Fluttershy, but I analyzed her character more...and really she's not my type.

Next was Rarity...Which lasted quite some time actually... But In the end Rainbow Dash was the girl I wanted to press tightly against the wall, never let go, and kiss her as I slowly whisper all the reasons I love her; feeling her body against mine, as we breathe in harmony...

 

And that thought...That one dream.. It left me speechless, and got me through many problems.

But...

It wasn't meant to be. She's a cartoon horse!

 

But I loved her.

 

But she isn't real.

 

BUT I FREAKING LOVE HER

For the longest time I've been bounding back and forth through my own emotions. I didn't tell anypony because I knew they'd think I was crazy.

 

So what I did was simple. I entered my own mind; AKA take a nap and hope my answer comes to me.

What I saw answered my question. I somehow managed to analyze why I was drawn to Rainbow Dash's character so much. And what made me want to get locked in a haunted house alone with her. I'll spare you my reasons, for we really do not have enough letters and words in the world to explain...

But those characteristics, the ones I found most treasured in the cartoon-horse I so desired; I made a careful note of.

 

 

Then... I entered my mind a second time; AKA I woke up in an epiphany, but I still had an hour before my alarm went off for school. So I went back to sleep.

I compiled those characteristics to find somepony I know in real life that has the characteristics of Rainbow Dash.

I came up with one answer. A girl I had met a long time ago. Thoughts of her, almost vanished until this dream. I knew I'd see her again; but it wasn't until then when I realized she emulated want I wanted in a woman---just like Rainbow Dash.

 

I only lusted after the real girl. She was the one I wanted to take to the woods, sneak up behind, grab hold around her waist, fall over onto a picnic blanket, and just lay under the stars; making up star names, because I know absolutely nothing about astronomy.

 

I was cured.

 

Now, as time went on, after being cured of this sick/twisted phase, I looked back on this experience logically. I realized many things, but most of all: this girl lives very far away, and I may not get the chance to see her (outside of facebook...)

I started 'tweaking' the traits I liked best. And now have opened my possibilities to girls (I had never noticed before!) at school. Of course the first girl I pictured is still at the top of the list, but now I have other options in case she doesn't work out.

 

 

 

 

I am not insane anymore, and do not want "play" with cartoon horses. I now much prefer real life; and find the entire notion of me even imagining such a possibility silly. Very silly.

I laugh at this experience, and know it will never happen again. Happy that I know what's waiting for me in the real world.

 

 

Hope I helped. I'd hate to see anypony go through what I did.

Book. You should write a book. But in all honesty, this is an old post, and you probably aren't on here as much anymore. But, if so, as I said before, you should write a book. And I'm saying this all in a good way.

Well there two things that you could be attracted to, The Pony or the pony's personality, If your attracted to the pony then that fine i think anyone should be able to go out with anything if it makes them happy but if it the pony's personality then that fine it's really better if you like the personality of someone then there body

 

But yea it is ok to be attracted to ponys

I love the show but lately I've found myself attracted to the characters. Is that weird? I'm not attracted to real ponies, just the cartoon. Maybe it's because they are very humanized? Am I the only one?

im gonna speak from my early days of being a brony when i was in love with rainbow dash it will take sometime to get over but im pretty sure it will be difficult to accept they arn't real maybe marry the voice actor and force her to talk you to sleep but im pretty sure it is a phase of being a brony ive went through it and i think others have too.

Precisely! The ponies from My Little Pony are pretty much people with hooves and a tail, well, comparing these ponies to the ones in real life.

Well there are plenty of girls out there just like Fluttershy you could meet and date.  You probably have to make the first move though since they'll be shy.

Yes, I do love Fluttershy. So much so I've claimed her my waifu. 

 

I've dreamed about her (and other ponies) countless times. 

 

I often imagine her as a real entity sometimes. Like if I'm sitting watching TV, I"ll sometimes imagine her laying beside me with her head in my lap. Like right now, I'm just kinda looking out the corner of my eye and see her sleeping on my bed all curled up. Sometimes when I"m walking downtown or whatever, I'm often in my own world, so I picture her trotting along beside me. and reacting to things around her.

 

I guess you could say I'm in love with her. She's on my mind all the time.I'm crazy about her.

 

So yea, call my crazy.
