baba_booey 4,302 December 11, 2014 Share December 11, 2014 (edited) I'm no fan of RPGs to be honest. I always get confused and bored 2 minutes in whenever I play on (with a few exceptions). Also, I feel gaming has gone downhill ever since the 7th gen started. I'm not trying to be a "OLD = BTR" guy, but man it feels like all the new consoles have been doing lately is shoving generic FPS games and overused features down out throats ever since 2005. What happened to actually having stuff that would change gaming? Has all that's been possible done? What I mean is, 1st gen - Introduced consoles as a whole (sure they were only pong and random "Virtual board games", but still) 2nd gen - Introduced interchangeable cartridges 3rd gen - Saved gaming from game crash, as well as introduced more complex games 4th gen - Introduced "BLAST PROCESSING" and "MODE 7," as well as basically showing that you don't need to be Nintendo to be successful with the Genesis. 5th gen - Made CD-based games popular, as well as complex, full-on 3D games. 6th gen - Improved on those 3D games with more environments. The 7th and 8th gens.. haven't really done anything much. I mean, Nintendo is trying to introduce more, but it feels like everyone else is just ignoring it all.. In fact, considering bronies' reputation for shoving the show down everyone's throats, I see it happen a lot more with stuff like Doctor Who, Harry Potter, anything Disney (especially Frozen last year, my god), Marvel - basically things that are more "mainstream" popular than MLP, so it's often assumed that everyone will be into/care about them. I heard a lot about it happening with MLP but I've never actually seen it - I wonder if it's something that happened when the show first got popular and has since died down, or maybe it just depends what sites you hang out on... Ignorance has nothing to do with a lack of intelligence but rather egotism. When the ideas that define part of what we are come under threat, it feels like a direct threat to ourselves. That is why people don't want to hear it. They value their pride more than anything else and it can be so endemic that they do not even realize it. I'm not sure): 60s, 70s, and 80s music is FAR superior than a lot of today's music. Yes, even the 80s synthpop and New Wave music is better than most of today's music. I would watch reruns of old shows than most of the new shows that still go on. (with the exception of MLP, of course) Golf sucks. Yes that includes mini-golf/putt-putt. FPS games are more of a PC thing anyway. They play better and don't need auto-aim or anything. #FPSonPCMASTERRACE (lol actually "master race" is a bit too far. Most people in my area (San Francsico) identify as liberals or democrats. They love things like minimum wage and various forms of wealth redistribution (darn hippie socialists!) for the most part, which I disagree with. So I guess that's unpopular. I don't like the Hunger Games and am horribly annoyed and low key jealous of all the attention it gets lol I think Ulysses S. Grant was a better general than Robert E. Lee (this is blasphemy in the South I'm sure). I don't think aliens have visited Earth (is that unpopular?). I don't believe in ghosts. I don't believe in luck, curses, or any sort of hokey voodoo and such. Outside of the fight scenes between Spider-Man and Doc Ock the film is a snooze fest. Tobey Maguire has the charisma of a cardboard cut out, and he has zero chemistry with Kirsten Dunts.
