What's something that took you a long while to notice?

It just hit me today, and I've been coming to this forum for about a week. When it's daytime, we see daytime in Ponyville for the background. In the night, it changes to a nighttime background! I was so excited and felt so dumb when I found out! Haha...

That this logo isn't some weird bird beak that's open, but it's actually a hawk's head coming into view from the left. I thought the eye was like some small tongue of the beak.

I don't know if this has anything to do with OP's subject but it seems fitting. It took me a while to figure out this whole "meme culture" From 2009 to 2011 I had no internet because I was always broke and never had money to get it. Then when I move back with my mom I found that Fail Blog and icanhazcheezburger got WAY bigger than they were since 07-08. So then I got, stupidly I might add, immersed into the meme culture. I eventually got sick of it (esspecially rage comics). But thanks to the meme culture I got into MLP FiM. I have since found my way to 4chan because I kept noticing that it was basically the main source for most memes, and I go there everyday now. (not just /b/ either. I love /mlp/ /hm/ /y/ and /ck/ is pretty kick ass to)

 

So tl;dr took me forever to get into memes.

Well, I've been comming to this forum for a couple of mobnths now and I never noticed that... so there's something. Also, I'm not sure if this counts, but I've noticed most of the really well known (for whatever reasons) fanfics are sad, violent, cupcakes, or some other dark emotion... thats all I got.

In the first season of FiM they recycled Applejack's running animation. And in that animation she didn't have any freckles. So they ended up forgetting Applejack's freckles a total of fifty two times in season one.

I only noticed about a year ago that the "L" in the "STAPLES" logo was an unbent staple. I chalk that up to bad eyesight though, but it counts. I made the mistake of telling my husband, and he laughed his butt off at me!

 

On a slightly related note, my dad almost died laughing one day a few years ago when I said something about him stopping at "Hair Cuttery" when he was driving me somewhere. I still say I didn't, be he swears I called it "Hair cutlery".

Something that took me a long time to notice was Rainbow Dash being a girl. I am not even joking. When my friend first had me watch the episodes, I would skip the intro since it was the girliest thing I had seen at the time. Because of that, it took me awhile longer to realize she was, well, a she. Another reason is that she's so tomboyish I sometimes forget to this day that RD is a girl, but I quickly remind myself. It took me months to realize that few of the characters Apple Jack introduces as her family are seen in the episodes anymore.

I found out that a small spot on my hand was not just a normal spot/dot, it was actually a splinter from over 2 years go.
