Are there any Alesana fans here? I have been a long standing fan of Alesana ever since their debut EP. I have attended 3 of their concerts live, and I have met Shawn Milke (Pretty neat guy, but I doubt he remembers me). I love their music, a mixture of sweet voice with harsh voice really accentuates the emotions in all of their lyrics. Every album they make has a story to tell, and the lyrics are like pages in a book. The Emptiness is my favorite album of theirs. So does anypony here like alesana and if so what is your favorite album?

OMG, you like Alesana too?

All their stuff is good, and I would be so happy to see them live!

I loved the album art for A Place Where The Sun is Silent...well all of their stuff! :P

For a second there I thought I was the only one on these forums that knew the magic of Alesana. When they release new albums and I begin to listen to them I do not like them at first. But for some reason (only alesana ever does this to me) the more I listen to their album the more I like it. It grows on me until it becomes my favorite. It is really weird. A place where the sun is silent is a pretty decent album, and if I am not mistaken is their take on Dante's Inferno.

Hmm... and here I thought I was the only one who really likes Post-Hardcore music on this forum! :P

I do like Alesana... sorta.

I really like how their music is deep conceptual wise. Each album has a running theme of story in it such as Roman/Greek Mythology, Medieval Legends, Edgar Allen Poe inspired narrative, and Dante's Inferno!

Though I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of their sound, at least maybe just early Alesana.

The screaming of the first 2 albums just sounds kinda bad to me compared to most other Post-Hardcore artists. It has improved a bit over time though so its not like its a huge issue anymore.

Still I do appreciate any band really that takes the time to tackle deeper concepts.

Not my favorite Post-Hardcore band, but still pretty good.

I find their music rather cheesy. My friend showed me 'Ambrosia' back in '06 but never really caught on to their music. I listened to Emptiness too, but it just sounds like everything else that the Rise/Fearless Records scene has ever had to offer.

I suppose you are entitled to your own opinion. The music I find cheesy is death metal and djent where the scream every single word and I can't understand what the fuck. It feels like ear rape, but that is just me.

I didn't become a fan of Alesana until recently. I've been a fan of bands like A Skylit Drive and Blessthefall for a long time, and my friend suggested I try listening to Alesana once. He had me listen to "This Conversation is Over", but it didn't really stick with me like he hoped it would. A few months later, I stumbled upon 'The Thespian', and it completely changed my opinion. Now, Alesana's become a pretty consistent band for me.

I've got an idea! No..... No, wait; it's just a concussion....

The song is great, the music video is epic. My brother was the one who showed my alesana's EP and I fell in love with it instantly,
